"Sure why not? Last year the IPAD sold more units than every other tablet combined and many of those people were willing to upgrade to the IPAD 3."

Sales mean jack when next to non were bought solely for the purpose of gaming by the gaming hobbyist. Any gamer worth their salt knows you can buy a dedicated console for the fraction of the cost of an iPad, and you could procure a mid to high end PC for the same or lower cost.

With everybody going ape over the price of £400 consoles, you really think a £600 tablet every twelve months is going to take over?

Not in my house, if this becomes the norm I'll be going 100% PC.

It's not the outcome that's the problem....... you know what? I can't be bothered anymore.

I don't understand the stance some people are taking about expressing disappointment with a writers story and even going as far as suggesting it should be different.

Let me elaborate. Every writer, songwriter, screenwriter etc. at some point or even everytime they write something have been told that parts are not acceptable and should be rewritten, be it by publishers, producers or screentest audiences, it happens, especially if that work is expected to sell on the back o...

I'll agree that some people are stepping over the line, but the disappointment with the ending is justified in my opinion. Personally I don't think it should be changed, maybe expanded, but that's really Bioware's rock to bare.

The problem I see with the ending is not the outcome, but rather the lack of discernible variety and relation to past decisions (which was claimed would occur). On top of that where is the spectacular showpiece that should end a trilogy...

With the obscene amount of money that CoD generates, I really don't understand how difficult it can be to deal with this problem, be it independent advice or relevant expert staff. Even just getting trigger happy with the ban hammer, ok they may lose a few thousand sales as a result but let's face it, those kind of numbers won't make a dent.

Not necessarily, they have your money for what you have purchased, but corporations like EA work on what they can sell you on the back of that purchase.

Right now, with the lack of damage control, the Bioware name is being recognised for a huge disappointment in story telling, which is what their forte is. This, along with the Dragon Age 2 upset is not helping their reputation, which will lead to very cautious customers. Corporations don't like cautious customers because ...

Whilst I agree entirely that gamers are in no way entitled to a change of ending, I will say that Bioware did not deliver in any way shape or form in what they've been saying the ending/s were going to deliver.

I think the overall disappointment by many is warranted.

While the ending sounds like a total let down or written as a WTF moment to be continued later via DLC, what do Bioware intend to do about those without an internet connection (small minority these days I know) or those not in the know that completed the story then shelved their ME3 unlikely to return?

While this doesn't affect me yet (still playing through ME2 due to late purchase) I can't help thinking that if this is an attempt by Bioware to leave their fanbase han...

While I've got every faith that Danger Close are capable of delivering something decent, I can't help thinking that with EA cracking the whip we may get something mediocre.

You're not missing much, just argues that because they created it they don't have to do jack. Which anyone with half a brain cell would already know.

On topic, from what I've read they've done a p*ss-poor job of wrapping up the story, which in my opinion is a major disservice to the fans, makes me glad I didn't buy day one and waited for user feedback. Lost faith in anything that comes out of EA these days.

Nice try, the guy just left Atari.

Is it April 1st already?

When the media and Games publishers are tearing the arse end off Sony and Nintendo about hardware pricing we get a gem like this.

As many have expressed above, if Apple get more than the toe they have now in the door and tablet gaming becomes the norm, I'll be jumping 100% PC.

The author clearly hasn't researched any details of AC3. If what I have read is correct, this will be a major change from the others. Not only have they spent three years on it, but they've built a new engine aswell.

Whilst I agree that a new title every year can get a little overwhelming, unusually it doesn't bother me so much with Assassin's Creed, especially seeing as I wait for the quick price drop before I buy, or rent in the case of Revelations.

Most developers answer to a parent publisher, and it's these publishers that fund the games. Unfortunately most publishers are money people with little to no creative vision, they will only fund what will make the most money. While this is fine as a business model for shareholders it's certainly not a customer appreciating approach.

Calm down! I'm thinking more along the the lines of a twist of the wrist during a swing. Which is important if this is going to be the best sports game ever, don't you think?

5074d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

The titles suggests more than the article explains.

While I'm interested in how this plays, I can't help thinking that a lot of the subtleties involved with a golf swing aren't going to be possible. Just my opinion.

No and I'm glad it isn't. He does make a good point about the industry inventing formulas and sticking to them. While that's good for making money it's not progressive enough to hold peoples attention for long.

When publishers start valuing customers rather than bank balance we should see a huge leap in innovation giving customers more reason to buy.
