In my spelling example the first and last letters of each word were unchanged. As long as the first letter, last letter, and word length are the same, the brain does a pretty good job of deciphering the word.

If the writer gets facts wrong he should be called out on it. Fact checking is a part of the job.
If a writer is not being professional, he should be called out on it. If someone is being unprofessional then why should people read his work in the first place?

I don't really care about what other people do with their PS3s. I spend my time gaming on it. So what if other people don't? I have never understood why people care about what the masses do.
I would argue that Activision knows exactly what customers want. People can come to the forums and hate on CoD till the cows come home, but at the end of the day customers vote with their wallets, and they are voting for what Activision is doing.
If Activision was really out of touch with their customers, then people would stop buying their products.
I remember hearing the same statement regarding Episodes from Liberty City, Fallout 3 DLC, BioShock, and Mass Effect 2. Ubisoft is a multiplatform developer. I would not count on Splinter Cell: Conviction remaining PS3 excluding (see what I did there?) forever. Just look at the track record for the previous Splinter Cell games.
You don't exactly need a high end PC for Mass Effect 1. I would wager that most PS3 owners have a PC that is at least capable of playing Mass Effect 1. One could simply play ME1 on the PC, and then go through the interactive comic to make some choices for the PS3 version of ME2. That would allow someone to experience both games fully, and still have some choices reflected in ME2 on the PS3.

You should probably give the developers some feedback on the issues you are having. That is kinda the point of beta testing.
The PS3 beta froze several times for me over the weekend. It is a beta though, so things like that are expected. That is what the feedback button is for.
