You guys are just making this argument as a defensive measure. There has been no study that I have seen that has shown that either platform has better digital vs physical ratios. They both are around 30%. And even if there was a difference (and I don't agree that there is) i can guarantee it wouldn't even be 10%
Just accept that PS4 is dominating this generation.

I don't understand this short sighted thinking. The reason games drop in price is because of the competition with resale. As soon as the publishers get their all digital dream you'll see games that continue to stay full price. Physical sales benefit the consumer... which is you...
And with things like Best Buy Gamers Club I get 20% off all physical sales, something that has paid for itself time and time again I probably saved enough to buy 5 or 6 games even aft...
People talk about console sales which are in very important, but the real number to look at is software sales. When a company decides what console to put there game on or who to do a bundle with or who to sign an advertising agreement with this is the number they look at.
Thanks for pointing out that PS4 isn't just dominating the 1'st party software but also the 3'rd party.
When people tell you guys that PS4 has more exclusives were not just talking about 1'st party were talking about all exclusives. Some of the most anticipated games next year are Ni No Kuni 2, Dragon Quest 11, Yakuza 6 all of them are third party and EXCLUSIVE.
Cool, I got Best Buy to price match Exist Archive PS4 and got it for $7 with free shipping with Gamers Club. And I got .hack//G.U. Last Recode price matched yesterday too.

Actually Kirb (as I understand it) Amazon uses a predictive algorithm even for the yearly best sellers that's why it shot up so fast upon release. But if you check now you'll see that the Pro has in fact over taken the both the Scorpio and the Standard X.

Pretty much the first time the Pro was less than $400 was this Black Friday even bundles have been $449. Lets be honest here offering deals like this a month after release isn't the best sign.
Best Buy will price match this and give Gamers Club Discount, I got it for $20 with free shipping.
It doesn't need a dock if it's powerful on it's own all they need is a dongle or something like Chromecast to beam the signal to the TV.
They must have way overestimated the demand for this console if they are offering $50 credit on top of the free PUBG. You would think they would have learned from all the Xbones they had clogging up their warehouses at the start of the gen.

Actually it's not in NA games that would benefit are selling 2x as many units and in Europe they sell 4x as many units.

Who cares... The artwork in Atelier games is great but if you need graphical comparisons I can pretty much tell you your buying the wrong game. Atelier is for people who like stories about friendly characters, puzzles/crafting and JRPG turn based combat.

The proof that this is just being used as an excuse to make Sony look bad is in exactly what you say. You forgot to point out that Sony has been doing crossplay with PC since last generation. They even invited Microsoft onto the servers but Microsoft refused because they wanted to force people into paying for Live It's only recently that Microsoft has started dong it when they were forced due to low server counts.

Perhaps your mistaking global numbers for NPD which is just North America. PS4 sold in North America the amount it normally sells globally.
PS4 sold over 200,000 more units than Xbox that basically an entire month of sales outside of the holidays.
And the big thing your clearly overlooking was this was the month that the X launched yet PS4 still outsold it considerably.
I don't think it will be 2018. But I also personally think it's very likely that the next PS console will be another upgrade. I can't see them letting this lead go and with the more PC like architectures they could easily just make a console that's compatible but plays games at 4k and 60 FPS.
Being able to sell to a strong base while offering upgrades works both for Sony and the software publishers and even the consumer if they can continue to play new gam...
