As long as its "missable" Like Ground Zeroes was im fine with prologues, specially in games that take 5 years to release.

Lost Odyssey sold pretty well, in fact it sold a lot, lot better than The Last Story, which was release on a Nintendo console. Jrpgs generally sell well on the xbox 360.

The game is at 81 Meta average, its not like Sessler did all of that by himself. The consensus is that SS is a great, fun experience with inconsistent moral choices and relatively outdated gameplay.
But if you're an Infamous fan none of that matters i think, in fact even I who aren't a fan plan to buy this game just to mess around in its sandbox.

It doesn't fix the poor story plot targeted at teenagers and young kids. It doesn't fix the padding on later stages of the game. It doesn't fix the poor writing Jrpgs normally have.

Resolution takes backseat to other, more important graphical qualities. Its all about lighting, textures, particles and geometry.

Actually it wouldn't be a success without a paywall. F2P model doesn't work when its a game this expensive and developers need steady income for proper maintenance and content. Normally F2P MMO's are smaller and less ambitious games because of just that.
