If any site...known or UN-known gives GT5 below a 9.0 then fanboys will bash them for saying anything bad about there beloved.

If you disagree....simply look at reviews that give the game a 9 or higher...its all good. No one hating on the review.
Anything below a 9...you get fans trashing the review!!!
I think its quite silly but kind of expected based on the history of certain console owners.
OK the game is averaging around a 86% in alll reviews so far.
I could see ppls points if IGN gave the game a 6/10 in that range.
But to sit there and complain because they didnt play the game MORE but YET gave it a SOLID 8.5.
Somehow I feel IMO that is....if IGN gave the game a 9.0 or higher would this writer on this blog or anyone else complain??
And this conspiracy about how 360 games are somehow rated higher is a joke. <...
Im interested in the game. 32 player MP got my attention.
Im just hoping that it gets the sales!! We all know games like Halo reach or COD are going to get tons of sales so you will never have to worry about empty MP rooms.
so now games ....a racer for that matter has to be reviewed in 2-3 days of playing and not a few hours..lets say 6.
Even if reviews hit over the next few days that give the game anything below a 9 will be trashed by loyalists.
Also....
How is writing about the facts of the game or stating whats missing...such as not being able to change brakes or rims on standard cars....as some have put it. "Putting the game down" or "a smear campaign"
No review is perfect but I would like a review to tell me what they feel is not right and what IS right about said game.
Just because its GT5 are they NOT supposed to tell the potential buyer about the game, BAD...
So im guessing that the early reviews that gave it below a 9 are wrong and the reviews that gave it a 9 and up are correct??
There are TONS of games that have been reviewed after a short time with the product.
Its a racing game. How long do you have to play to know ...you cant do this or this is stale or the sound is mediocre....or this part is awesome etc.
3 hours....5 hours....10 hours???
The reason the game is averaging 86% so far....
1, Standard cars...cant change the color of the car
2. Standard Cars....limited damage or no damage at all
3. Cant change the brakes on most of the cars
4. Cant change the RIMs on standard cars.
5. Standard cars pale in comparison to the premium cars.
6. Online has 2 modes
7. Opponent AI nit much better then previous GT games
8. All the cars having 3 different types of dama...
Im a HUGE BC fan....got it for the PS3. But this is WAAAAAY to late!!!!!!!!
So many other shooters have come out and EA DICE or whoever makes the decisions is JUST getting a REAL map pack out.
I was VERY dissapointed at what they deemed map packs in the past. When all it was....opening up game modes on other maps.
Awesome game that has some flaws that kill it for me. Namely only being able to talk to your 4 man squad. With no proximity chat ...

Im a FORZA fan myself but to come on here and laugh and throw up Metacritic scores and say GT5 flopped is kind of childish.

I myself am not surprised by the scores. BUt when you think about it...dont all GT games score in the high 80s overall??
The game will do well in sales thats for sure. REviews will be a mixed bag....some will love the game others will not so much. Oh well.

But in other ppls world. And 8.2 is somehow BAD??
The game has shortcomings....that is a FACT. But no one is allowed to say anything BAD about the game??
I would rather read a review that told me what was lacking or bad then GLOSSING over it and painting a picture like the game is perfect.

Yes, Its amazing to me how if the game gets anything below a 9...its somehow a conspiracy or somehow MS paid off the site.
From all that I have read...as far as the negatives and things that are missing...IF TRUE. Then I dont see how it can get a 9-10 score.

Seems to me after reading it...he will be getting the game but something he found out about the game was dissapointing to him.
Any thing said about GT5 cant always be viewed as someone being hurt or jealous. He found out something.and wanted to share it.
The one thing that I found out about GT5 that dissapoints me is the limit on standard cars.....

Just asking because I read through alot of comments and saw this written quite a few times.
I own both systems and will play GT5 ... have owned a few of them in the past. The last few years Forza has fulfiled my sim/racing needs.
BUt what I dont get is. How is a small article releasing some info about what the game has or doesnt labeled as...a smear campaign or nitpick...

Ohh thats right....I cant change out rims on 800 standard cars in the game.
I agree, and its VERY interesting that no one..namely the defenders of GT5 are making a big deal out of this.
Standard cars IMO will not get driven as much as the premos.
And what is up with 3 different types of damage models?
The 800 cars will be collecting cyber dust in my cyber garage LOL.
One of the first things I do is change out the UGLY and heavy STOCK rims!! Cant do that in standards....very disturbing.
For some of the things im reading about 3 different damage systems in the cars. Standard cars being limited (no rim changes etc)

I play games for fun. Not to get frustrated. I dont have the free time to run a 8-10 lap race over becuase of a mistake.
For all the ppl who say...REW=Noob....or its cheating. If GT had the feature. Nothing would be forcing you to use it.

Being that Forza 3 had the rewind feature. What they did was have separate leader boards for ppl who used the REW feature and ppl who ran clean laps.
I feel everyone is entitled to an opinion.
So ill give mine. I love racing games and I want FULL damage as an option from the beginning!!

For the ones who are saying with FULL damage on it will frustrate gamers. I ask...what about all the talk about GT5 being the true real deal sim driver/racer.
