It shouldn't matter which button or trigger it is. There is no reason for any game not to have the options of remapping buttons to what a user would like. I think it's lazy if the developer of a game does not have this option in their game.
Most movies filmed are in a resolution above 2K. It's just its taking TV technology awhile to catch up to the higher resolutions.
From Wikipedia on Digital Cinematogrphy:
"In general, it is widely accepted that film exceeds the resolution of HDTV formats and the 2K digital cinema format, but there is still significant debate about whether 4K digital acquisition can match the results achieved by scanning 35mm film at 4K, as well as whether 4K scanning actually extracts all th...
I'll agree the Dune stuff is some of the best, but the Brian and Kevin stuff was ok at best. It was nice reading more on the Dune Universe, but it makes one wonder how much better Frank's stuff would have been. I read Dune once a year and the Dune series (Frank's) every couple of years.
I can not wait for this game. I have been waiting for new game from SK since Eternal Darkness. Hell I'd love to see ED come back out with updated graphics and gameplay.
It make have taken a bit longer to see this game, but it looks that the wait is worth it. I'll be picking this one up on day 1.
Moving was never an issue for me. Aiming with the current sticks just did not feel as smooth as a mouse. I'd be willing to try one for aiming and will have to see what the price of these will be.
The size limit of the game does not concern me at all. I could care less about the remixed music. Hell they should make it a separate download.
You are right about the Dpad though. The 360 version sucks and will probably make me get the PS3 version instead. My only problem is most of my friends only have a 360 so if I want to play them I need the 360 version... DOH!
Smaller chips means more die per wafer. More die per wafers means more money per wafer produced. If they did less transistors (which they did not, they just shrunk everything) then that would be a design change and then they have to qualify that change. Shrinking is always a good thing since you have the same costs per wafer on 65nm or 45nm. You just get more sellable die with a shrink. I wonder if these are on a 8 or 12" wafer though?
I'd love to see the process flow on...
This game is looking better and better. I wonder how the video was captured though? I'm hoping the game looks that good on either the 360 or PS3. If that was all from a PC I may have to start considering getting a new PC then.
Yea I was kind of noticing the same thing. I have the PS3, but I still wish I had a High End PC (mine is 4-5 years old) to play that game. I do better with a mouse and keyboard then I do with my controller. Although there would be a trade off between playing on my 55" HDTV vs my 20" LCD screen. The graphics would be better on the PC overall though. It will be interesting to see what gets sacrificed to bring it onto the PS3.
I'm going to pick up one more HD DVD player (A30 or A35) and then put up my A2 once I find a good enough deal on one. I imagine in the next few months the prices will continue to go down. Until Universal moves over to Blu Ray the format will continue to happen.
I like the one you can play on Steam. The graphics were updated, but the levels felt pretty good from what I remember.
Wallace you do know that comment made way to much common sense which is not allowed here! Seriously you nailed it right on the head. Lets not forget there are royalties to be had on whoever wins the format war. It's not like DVD one over night against VHS.
What needs to happen for HDM is for the prices of movies to drop. What sucks is seeing prices $30 or more for movies on both technologies. HDM needs to be down to $15 for new releases and no more then $20 for older tit...
I totally agree with you on being neutral. That was the smartest thing I have done. I love being able to go out and buy a movie and not have to worry about which format it is on. In the case of WB I still buy the HD DVD version of their movies vs the Blu Ray Since they tend to have more on special features. My only beef with HDM (High Definition Media)is that the movie prices all need to fall into the $19.99 range in order for it to really take off. It sucks seeing movies for $35 at Best...
Would love to see how this looks with an HD video. The game looks like it has potential. It's to bad that the other engine didn't get the Ghostbuster license since that game was looking good. I wonder if they will use both story lines from the movies since it would be one short game if they only did the first movie.
I still need to finish the game but so far it is a damn good game. If they do another they should have him go after a treasure from either Egypt of Greece. It would be neat to see the artwork for an Egyptian themed level.
The US has fast speeds in major cities, but if you were take the full US the speeds are not all that great. I'm hoping to have Verizon FIOS next year, but right now I'm on a 3mbps down and 768K up DSL connection.
What you are referring to is the OAR (Original Aspect Ratio). Movies are filmed in different OAR(Most commonly 1.85:1 and 2.39:1). Depending on the OAR it will either fill up your screen or give you a letter box view. I believe the 1.85:1 will fill your screen all the way. Check this site for more details:

I totally agree with this statement:
"All that needs to happen is for the studios to publish on both formats and let consumers buy whichever disc suits their needs and quit trying to tell them which one to buy. While the senseless battle rages on, the Internet, like a 4000 pound elephant, is moving slowly into the living room."
I think it is finally time that we can have dual formats for movie watching. It would be interesting to see how things would be if all...
What cracks me up is everyone thinking the so called war is almost over. I would maybe see it if HDM sales were atleast 50% of DVD sales, but it is not even close.
Played through the Demo twice now. I think this game is deeper then most people think. There are a ton of items to gather and change with the runes you can acquire. The various weapons are fun to play with too and the Hammers are a smash. Sure the controls take a little getting use to, but once you do it is fairly easy to start ranking in some combos. I like how this controls better then Heavenly Sword did.
Graphically I think this game will get better when the game comes o...
