<b> Splinter Cell vs. Metal Gear</b>
How did this get brought up? PS3 fanboys on N4G are out of control.

Anyhow, while we're on the subject, let me break it down:

Metal Gear = 15 hour movie where you have to pick up the controller every 40 minutes to play for 15 minutes. Epic story, arcade-like gameplay every once in a while. FACT.

Splinter Cell = the game that Metal Gear USED TO BE, ie, tactical, espionage. Can...

...just to give you a Disagree on that ignorant statement. Shenmue, whether you like it or not, has influenced games like Resident Evil through Fallout.

Shenmue was way ahead of its time, and comments like that tell me that there are still too many mouth breathing gamers out there to appreciate (and financially support) games with the subtlety and nuance of Shenmue.

But, with the success of games like Heavy Rain, there is hope for another REAL Shenmue game...

It hurts my ps3's feelings :~(

Because I would have MUCH rather had a few more episode installments from Heavy Rain then a Move edition that I could honestly care less about.

"Do you have a source, or a link to a Sony fan site or something that can show this, troll? " <-- there's my source. It was obviously a joke, but I suppose your Sony proprietary panties were issued to you a little on the small side.

You want value? You don't have to ADD anything to create value. The absence of your feeble-minded fanboyism is value enough, so STFU.

Bill Gates (You know, the founder of Microsoft) is actually one of the most widely known and generous philanthropists in the history of corporations, so by that measurement, Sony is more "Evil" on your corporate spectrum.

I love how fanboys (Sony fanboys in particular) think that Sony is some non-profit organization that makes video games from the tears of laughter from infants. It's big biz and big money and you're a sucker to think any corporation sees yo...

As someone who has owned all 3 current-gen consoles since their respective launches, I have to agree with this article.

The PS3 is BROKEN as an all inclusive media device. I can't even stream music from my library because a firmware update several years ago broke the PS3's ability to stream music when your library exceeds a certain number of files. LAME! It used to work great, now, it doesn't at all!

On top of that, it can't even stream WMV...

I've been thinking the same thing for months and I've been looking for a less fanboy-bated video games news aggregate site to go to, but it looks like N4G is one of the best right now.

So yeah, the 6axis... kind of a fail there. Let's do a little history on the 6 axis:

Sony announces PS3 at E3 2006 with the 6 axis controller, saying "rumble was last gen". An obvious attempt to cash in on the new Wii craze, with Nintendo unveiling their much-anticipated controller a few months back.

Since then, most games just use it as a gimmick. Name one game that uses it as the primary means to control it. Heavy Rain probably used it bes...

Keyboard and Mouse = super fast control, but also = super fast road to carpel tunnel syndrome.

I would sacrifice speed of control for comfortable control any day. I play games to relax tho, so that's my opinion on it. I can totally see why a pro-gamer would want key/mouse.

<i>"Uncharted 2, GTA4, FF13, Rachet & Clank, Killzone 2, Mirror's Edge, God of War, and Heavy Rain have all used the left analog stick as the primary movement stick, and none of those games have been crappy to control."</i>

Remember when Mario 64 came out? Everyone thought the analog stick was amazing and that it controlled PERFECTLY (read up some retro reviews if you're too young). Yeah, at the time is was as good as it got, and even today,...

<i>"what credentials are you using to tell who is or isn't a fanboy? Is it disagreeing with you?'</i>

A fanboy argues against fact and common sense in defense of a product they love

<i>"if there was something wrong with the placement of the Dualshock sticks, a place where they have been ever since Sony first came out with the PS1 DS controllers back in 1997-8 (and you even admitted they were), then why wait until NOW to bit...

Seriously, I actually own all 3 consoles, unlike most of the Sony fanboys who hang out at N4G.

The 360 controller is quite a bit better than the PS3/PS2/PS1 controller. Why? 2 main reasons:
1) Better analogs. Before you cry like a Sony fanbaby, here's a little history lesson:
The PS analogs are way too close together and they always have been. Heck, they are in the same spot Sony tacked them on when the N64 launched and they were like "hey, we wan...

How many of those games you just listed are sequels, ie, 95% the same game? Like 18 of them, or more (not familiar with some titles). Granted, Agent and The Last Guardian are sure to be amazing.

How many of those 5 360 exclusives were new IPs? All but Gears 3. Not being an Xbot, just saying.

Like, Halo, most of the games on that list have become stale with too many sequels and not enough changes to the formula. We gamers need to get over buying the same ...

This thread is stuffed to the gills with PS3 fanboys agreeing with every M$ bashing comment.

Sony fanboys are the worst... you can just taste the bitterness in their comments - defending their precious Playstation name which went from a solid 1st to a struggling last in one generation cycle DESPITE competing against shovel ware and the worst hardware failures of all time.

Sony cares for you just as much as Microsoft or Rally's or Walmart or Kinko's....

This site is being overrun by fanboys. You ppl do nothing but hurt the games industry, defending your beloved companies IN SPITE of their flaws. That's THE EXACT OPPOSITE of how smart consumerism can help all of us get better games.

Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo all care about making quality products, but every company is guilty of some pretty huge blunders: PS2 disc drives, RROD, apocolyPS3, shovelware, etc.

level-headed gamers need to disagree with eve...

70% of games launched these days just get fixed with patches anyhow.

Right, like Heavy Rain? my game was BROKEN, ie, locked up my PS3 every time I tried to play it until they patched it. I love all my consoles, but holy cow, what a blunder that was. I literally couldn't play it for a month. I would lie if that glitch didn't put a damper on what was a great gaming experience.

And how soon we forget about LBP1? Yeah, smooth move to cave in to religious fanatics and recall the game over a song... I was lucky enough to buy the origin...
