Well, I think you miss the point. It is optional to some. For all those with the original most popular size 20GB hdd, it is not an option. There isn't 18GB space available open on a 20GB drive fresh out of the box.
So, as you can see... the option truly is not an option to so many. Also, please educated us on how a constant speed Bluray DISC is SOOO slow compared to a variable speed DVD disc.
Teletext is looking to outdo Edge in the PS3 bias department. I would be more comfortable with them giving zeros to all PS3 games, but then again why bother, if you hate a console so much to ensure bias in reviews, then why not exclusively review for a single console? I mean calling Bluray a luxury is ridiculous to me. Why not call DVD a luxury by that same note(VHS is still around)? Since PS3 and 360s can read CDs, why not revert to the cheapest and lesser of all optical formats?
Why don't we just petition for all games to be made on Multidisc CD sets? This would give many compressed 360 games an advantage. For example, a 15GB 360 game could come in a 22 Disc CD set. And 35GB God of War 3 could come in a 52 Disc CD set. Bluray is not...

1) Reason Microsoft didn't put HDDVD (or Bluray) in the 360 is because it would've meant an approximate 1 year delay in release. The blue laser diodes were in shortage @ the beginning and would've had to be shared. This would've forfeited their 1 year headstart ahead of Sony & Nintendo.
