I don't know who Paul Smith is, but his blog is a tad on the weird side.

It wasn't that long ago that feature articles kept vaunting the R&C franchise as a cookie-cutter sequel production line...

Except That...

their titles remained fresh, fun, and worthwhile. It's good to see the tradition continue into new hardware, and a new generation.

If you're going to critique, at least be a man about it. Lord knows I've fallen off that horse recently. Stop being a tool.

the difficulty really "ratchets" up, weapons CONTINUE to grow, enemies become tougher, explosions get bigger, AND lately they've thrown in the bolt multiplier for each level that rewards your gameplay with tons of extra bolts as you avoid getting hit.... at all.

And then you unlock all the really expensive cool stuff that satisfies my hardcore itch.

sure you get a great "platformer" (still not sure that applies these days), but R&C packs a lot of great weapons and shooting fun.

Explosions - check
Mayhem - check
Run and gun - check

The weapons are always top draw for me in this series.

I'd probably throw it on if I was choking on a meatball tho.

Anything to draw attention, I guess that's the norm here.

It's a pipe dream to assume 1 "super" console fits everyone's needs versus cheaper consoles that segment the population more specifically to meet their individual needs.

Nothing gets these corporations attention FASTER than the prospect of losing business/market share to their competitors, where their BUSINESS IS giving the consumer exactly what he/she wants. Remove competition, you remove accountability to the consumer.

Period.

I am losing my mind on this site.

but, and you knew there was a caveat, there is a lot of trolling on N4G. There are the usual suspects of course, I won't name names, I get the feeling I'd summon them somehow if I did. PS3 news, if this is a credible source and not someone posting flamebait, should be read by PS3 users and not have 360 snipers picking off posters left and right. Same goes with the PS3 idiots who get off starting sh!t on 360 threads. N4G is horribly political.

Sorry mate.

between a console that has different sized drive offerings

versus

a console that may or may not come with a HDD at all.

When game developers have to incorporate the minimum specs of a console's available SKUs, the possible size of a console's Hard Drive is irrelevant compared to the consideration required when a game segments it's market base by caching to disk space at all.

I doubt you understood a word I said.
