How are movies different? How is music differen? Movies have huge budgets, yet I can buy a new blu-ray for 15$ and then loan it to a friend or sell it without worry. I can rent it from a redbox for 1$ and dont have to worry about spending more money to see the ending (online passes for used games)So how is the video game industry different? Oh because M$ said you are only buying the license for the game and shouldnt be able to do with it what you want?
Amazon doesn't charge tax on orders placed. Maybe there are a couple of states that mandate it, not sure.
Not to mention I would think have to pay tax on this, which is huge compared to buying at games top or best buy!
Plus all the tax you save to! That alone is with getting from Amazon for!
Open it up, at least show us how the hdd gets replaced.
@ozmoses I think its not the fact that you smoke weed, its the fact that use "Im a disabled war vet" as if that makes it ok. Im willing to bet there is a type of job that you would be able to do regardless of your disability...but no its ok just go ahead and collect disability thats so much easier....but its ok you served your country so you could go commit murder and it would be forgiven.
You obviously have never played socom 1 or 2. There wasnt open mic, one person at a time could talk. You didnt talk unless you were calling out an enemy or talking a strategic move with your teamates.
This is a repeat story, but I do love that this game is a lot of attention. Fund this people!
@mopground Voting out because of mics was definitely in Socom 1 and 2.you didn't see it much because almost everyone had mics.
Socom was the best shooter ever! No respawn, no perks, all guns were available to everyone from the start. Maps were no symmetrical and made winning all that more rewarding. Didn't have a mic, you were voted out. Cheating, voted out. Using a grenade launcher you were votes out! Most intense games I've ever played online and the most fun!
Actually if you have move already I believe you can use them on ps4, just need the new camera. I purchased 2 move controllers, the eye and the joystick controller with 3 games for 40$ off someone. If they release some awesome move games, ill for sure buy the new camera.
@Sleepless, I got Darksiders 2 for 15$ at Best Buy within a couple months of it coming out. I was able to play the hell out of it and re sell it to Gamestop for a profit because all retailers still had it listed as 50- 60$. There are a ton of random retailers that will hugely discount a game for a day or two. They do this to make you come to their store hoping you will buy other stuff there as well. Where will this competition go when there is one online store, one place to buy games, one...
Yet every other business that has to deal with used games manages just fine? Why do video games have to be different. You don't see car companies saying that used car sales are cutting into their profits and due to this they are going to put in an I'd stem that only allows one drive to own a vehicle. When your done with the vehicle, you have to buy new, don't have the money for a new vehicle? Guess you better get a bike. If games go all digital what makes you think prices will be ...
Yes zipper is closed, love them to death for Socom 1 and 2,but man they went down hill. MAG s at least cool but Socom 4 did nothing to resemble the originals.
Agree with the article. M$ did nothing to explain why this would be a benefit to the customer and expected people to bend over and take it. It wasnt till after E3 we learned about sharing and it was even after the reversal of the DRM we learned more details. Im a self proclaimed Sony fanboy, but had M$ announced that due to having DRM first party games will launch at 45$ I would have jumped ship.
Well neither of my ps3 controllers that I got since launch have stopped holding a charge so I don't see the problem.
If you buy the rechargeable battery pack. Which I'm sure is proprietary M$ technology so I'm sure that alone will be 60$
Maybe I missed it, but I can already see clans having spectating friends come in and call out all the information. That was always a problem in games that allowed spectating and having free cams to be able to look around anywhere at anytime is going to make it even easier.
And no sales tax :-)
I'll sell my ps4 launch bundle for 2k and give half to charity. :-)
