No, casuals actually just want to drop 100$ on cosmetic items for free games that offer no story, one map, no character progression, and simplistic graphics
This, unfortunately if you get sucked into side quests chances are when you come back to the main story you will just walk through everything. Developers need to figure out a way for the game to rise to your level/equipment and still offer a challenge regardless of when you are completing the main story.

I wish I could forget fallout 4 happened. Game came out looking like a ps3 game. Any other developer would have been ridiculed beyond belief

Because Xbox tried to force always online and basically told people to buy a 360 if they want to start offline. Didn't matter they reversed the policies, the damage was done.
If Sony announce FF7 remake chapter 1 launching alongside ps5, the console would sell itself regardless of there are any other games for it or not.

Sony likes to save a little bit for Paris Game show, TGS and PSX. Also I think both Sony and Microsoft are winding this Gen down and preparing g for next Gen. Got to have new games to show with next Gen hardware. Sony has enough exclusives to carry them through 2019 with a ps5 release in 2020

@muddywaters Naughty Dog was making playstation exclusives. It's the equivalent of Microsoft buying Playground games. Yes they were "independent" but they were only making games for the company they got bought by.
