Can you provide a link? didn't think so.... the Ps3 will get normal DLC that the 360 will also get aka new Guns/vehicles/Clothes, while the 360 gets essentially 2 entire games worth of DLC.

For all the complainers about the DLC, the DLC is equal to San Andreas/Vice City, that's an incredibly amount of content that's like 2 entire exclusive games.

As for Franchises most the GTs sold around 10 million as of 2007, Halo 3 has what? 7 million and it hasn't even been out for a year yet, Halo 2 had 8 million w/ a 10th of the install base the GTs had, Gears and Halo both have 5x the Attach Ratios the GT games have.

The only game in your list that will outsell Gears is GTA IV which is multiplatform and the full experience is only on the 360.
Custom maps on a game that looks like the SD version could run on the Wii versus completely new XBLA arcade games that could number in the thousands....

Gears-5 million w/ 10 million 360s at the time and 2 years to sell.
Highest selling MGS game-7 million on a 100 million install base over what? 10 years now.... Gears sold 5 million on an install base that was lower then 10 million in 2 years..... lets not forget the other MGS games also did significantly worse....You might as well face the facts overall Gears sells better per system then MGS by a significant margin.... but even then GTA towers over both of them.
So it sold 7 million on a 120 million install base over how many years? Gears 1 has 5 million with what? a 10 million install base(now closer to 17 million) over 2 years, and you're also quoting the highest selling MGS, the other games did significantly worse.
Just take a look at past sales for the games you're talking about, Gears 1 sold just about as good as any MGS game w/ 1/20 the Install base that the MGS games had to work with..... and even THEN if Gears doesn't outsell MGS4 the highest selling game this year BY FAR will be GTA IV, no GTA ever has lost to a MGS game in sales, infact they usually do 2-3x + as many sales as the MGS games, o and BTW GDC just announced 360 exclusive content for GTA IV THIS fall, along with showing the new Gears t...
Do you honestly expect Resistance 2 to even come close? Especially after Gears 1 absolutely demolished Resistance 1 in any way shape and form.
Because NG2, Lost Odyssey, Too Human, Fable 2, Alan Wake, Banjo Kazooie, Left for Dead, Elveon, Huxley, Age of Conan,
Infinite undiscovery, Project Offset, Sacred 2, Tales of Vesperia, and several other games won't be coming out until then.... plus the 3rd party games which 99% of the time run better on Xbox 360, or have exclusive 360 content like GTA IV.
Lol Just like Resistance 1 got anywhere near Gears of War 1, it's amazing how delusional the sony fanboys are, Resistance and espicially KZ1 are no where near Gears 1 lvl, and every game critic and anyone whos played both games who isn't a fanboy will tell you that.
So true, that's why Sony copied MS's original idea of a 3d environment for their online service, MS just didn't finish theres intime for the Original Xbox Live's Launch so they put the idea on hold.
technically MS was working on home first back for the first Xbox's live, they just scraped it because it was running behind, so if anything Sony copied MS.
Unlike San Andreas/Vice City they can use the stuff already on the disc from GTA IV the game, if GTA IV fits on 8 gigs then the expansions using the GTA IV game for textures/sound/your character/huge part of the coding means the 2 expansions can be as big as Vice City/San Andras and only be 3-4 gigs easy.
