It's like these articles are a honey-pot for people who take their own opinion as fact.
Guys, a top 10 isn't a fact sheet, it's the author's opinion. Stop getting so offended when you don't see your picks on their list. Or if you're going to argue it, do so respectfully.
True, but keep in mind that people's character favorites are way more widely varied than the amount they can fit on the game disc / card, so no matter what happens, some people will just be ticked off.
My guess is that the anticipation is killer. :)
Don't lose hope for Snake just yet. Chances are they're waiting longer to reveal him just to build hype.
I was definitely surprised by Nariko's reveal, but given how synonymous Heavenly Sword was with the PS3's early periods, it's a definite fit.
Definitely liking the roster so far! I can't wait to see who else is added, maybe another announcement at PAX Prime will reveal it?
I really like the style of your article, but as you said, the balance between casual and hardcore is a conundrum. After all, you want your game to appeal to a bigger audience without providing a watered-down experience. One thing we can say for sure, though, is that casual gamers are a part of the consumer base, and certainly have helped gaming become as big as it is today. That's something hardcore gamers have to admit.
Top 10 Top 10 Lists of 2012! :D
We think it, we write it. :D
Not in my experience it isn't. Just to name a few games - Modern Warfare 3, Mass Effect 2, Street Fighter 4 / AC / Super, and Mirror's Edge - they've all been roughly the same experience for me on both consoles. Can you share some experiences where the 360 outperforms the PS3 on multi-platform titles?
That's fine Superman, and I respect your opinion.
There's something to be said for thinking outside the box! :D
Thanks for all the feedback guys! Not all of the bugs on this list are game-breaking but they certainly show a lack of polish that we shouldn't expect in such a hugely-important title. The ones that do break the game, such as Kneon's, really are inexcusable. And saying "I'm playing on X console and I don't get these bugs" isn't an excuse - the game should be working equally well on all consoles, otherwise you're basically giving anywhere from 30%-60% of your ...
Venox, it's not as simple as looking at the numbers. If you want some real insight into why we rated the game the way we did, you should actually read the review and see the points we made. Everyone's tastes are different, and if you enjoy the stuff that, say, I didn't, you may find the game more enjoyable.
If it was as simple as throwing a number on a game, we wouldn't write 1200+ words in the review.
You know, it's hard to say. The main web site doesn't say anything yet, but you can find snippets of information around the net. Unfortunately, a price point wasn't one of them.
Weird huh?
It was such a shame the game turned out how it did, not so much for the way the game is designed, but for the fact that the 3DS version doesn't have the GPS feature promised in the Smartphone version. It would have made the game really dynamic and unique, but instead, it kind of turned into standard fare for me.
Nice to actually see a movie game that isn't a total cop-out. Hopefully more of them aspire to be like this. Well...I can dream anyway.
Absolutely, and I'm going to go a step further and say it's the first "true" zombie apocalypse game. It felt so real, not like I'm playing a game. That's survival horror done right!
You know, I was going to stop at simply reporting your article on N4G, but it made my blood boil so much that I had to give you a piece of my mind.
Your condescending tone towards Hideo Kojima is incredibly disrespectful. You go on and on about PlayStation fanboys being upset, but you sound like the one who's bitter. But sure, you think he "wised up" and brought the series to the XBox. Oh wait...it's already been there. Metal Gear Solid 2 on the original XBo...
