I love SE, but I just can't get behind their 2nd favorite child. All of XIII just felt so...off. The gameplay was probably the worst part, with all of it being "build up a gauge to 'break' the creature before you can actually do substantial damage".

XIII (FF:Hallways) was so linear I think I had tunnel vision playing it.

XIII-2 (FF:Back to the Future) had a story I gave 2 farts in a tornado about, and didn't really make up for that ...

You know, I kinda have a glimpse of hope in them. Dragon's Dogma is in the top 5 of my favorite games, and DMC has solid game mechanics (story was all over the place compared to 2&3).

It's only when they release a new Resident Evil or Street Fighter that the glimpse of hope gets beaten down.

I'm going to have to agree. <_< It should really be revised for easier reading. There are quite a few run-on sentences, and other things. This article also assumes that you know exactly what the author is thinking (such as the very first thing, "go to foundation" not being specific at all, especially to someone who hasn't played XIV in awhile, like myself).

Agreed. We don't get to see much of the goings on in the criminal underbelly of Star Wars.

One might say it's "bootyful".

No idea if it will be worth the $60 until more is shown. I would rather pay $60 for a full game made by a handful of people rather than trash made by AAA devs that will more than likely try to make at least $40 more in DLC from it.

Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?

It's probably a ton of factors:
Trust in the company, be it with sequels or new IP's.

Advertisements and publicity stunts.

The time and money put into the game.

How well known the Devs are.

If it is a popular genre. (I wouldn't pay $30-60 for a virtual board game)

How much of it is seen before it is released.

Who the demos, alphas, or whatnot are shown by, and if they resp...

"Idea Factory" on censorship after the "Dead or Alive 3" problem: "That’s honestly their decision, but yes, sadly, it has stopped us from localizing certain Compile Heart games. We don’t want to censor anymore because we know that’s not true to the original developed art."

If a company is saying they have to remove content because of the herd of sheep that feminazis have obtained, then it is censorship. The government censorship spoken of in this...

He's not a bad guy. He just set himself up to disappoint people. After Fable, Fable 2 was supposed to be this big, epic, long lasting journey with all these features and epic combat with a freeing experience.

It turned out to be an OK story, lasted me about a month (with school and all), and combat felt less fluid. Same with Fable 3.

Black and White was a great time as well, just, again, not the game he said it would be.

I love the guy&#...

The article has some...interesting choices in words (somehow knowing gameplay mechanics on games not released yet with their "No Man's Sky" and Elite Dangerous comparison). But, they have a point.

They want a game with clear goals and set places to explore. That's just more of their style. I can agree with the huge worlds, though.

For me, the games that have been coming out have had vast worlds, but nothing in them. The most infamous, to me...

Trump is a moron who couldn't even hold down a casino, let alone the USA. I haven't liked HIllary since she tried to pass a law banning violent video games, because, you know "they make people violent" just like that rock 'n roll, TV, and all those other things, right? That just leaves Bernie as the last competitor.

Yeah, I never really understood why they changed her look, same with Sten. Her concept art looked better, while Sten looked great in the "Sacred Ashes" trailer.

I can look past the sprites. My problem is those awful battle menus. I would just like the ATB gauges back.

I really enjoyed the movie and that is saying something since I thought Disney would shit all over it.

On the topic of taking down "basically trained dark Jedi" and Ray's force usage: You don't have to have any Force sensitivity to stand toe to toe with a trained Force user. The Mandalorian Wars are proof of that.

**Some Spoilers!!**

It's rare for me to not like a main FF game. I didn't like the system of VIII at all and XIII was bad, should feel bad, and never be redone. I hated VII with a flaming passion (not as much as XIII). I know, burn me at the stake for I am the heretic.

But, if SE can make it as much fun as I've had with all their other titles (and yes, I even think some of the mobiles were fun, like "Record Keeper" and "Dimensions") then I will count it as a win i...
