Im a huge media molecule fan. The reveal of Dreams was cool but it left alot of us scratching our heads. It seems ambitious but we really need to know exactly how it works and how it will be feasible for the average person to construct complex things within the game.
am I the only one who would rather see more Blood Dragon?
Why are all people who criticize this gameplay automatically PlayStation fanboys? This gameplay is profoundly underwhelming, to say the least. And you dont need to be a playstation fanboy to see that.
It is very flat and basic. There is not any innovation to speak of, apart from ironsights (ten years late on that). It isnt particularly exciting. gameplay wise this game looks outdated by about 10 years and not in a bioshock infinite or wolfenstein way.
I have an elgato capture card and an HDMI splitter. So try stopping me from streaming this to youtube and twitch, Namco, you stingy bastards.
I guess Namco doesnt want free advertisement for their games. Morons.
Ive seen other stuff from them before. This is the kind of pretentious site that thinks they are edgy and intellectual by constantly scoring games lower than other sites, often times for random and nonsensical reasons.
And every one of these sites has a legion of hipster losers who fanboy for them, and insult anyone who disagrees with the critics. They point the finger at you for being a fanboy, while they are the ones fanboying for a bunch of pseudo intellectual game journal...
The quality, accuracy, and objectivity of this site's reviewers is on par with sites like Polygon. It is unforunate that clowns like this are featured on metacritic, where they can actually negatively impact devs with their ignorant opinions
Gameplay wise yes. Storywise no
Tom Mcshea?........... this guy is STILL writing reviews????
Isnt he widely known as being one of the worst reviewers in history? I guess it just goes to show that if you have connections in games journalism, you can stick around like an ugly tumor.
This guy talks out of his ass more than anyone, apart from maybe Tom Chick. What is it with "Tom"s?
probably because no one is going to garbage sites like Kotaku and Polygon anymore
The singleplayer campaign in Destiny was staggeringly inept, especially for such a hyped developer like bungie.
And i found the multiplayer to be inherently unbalanced and broken. The co-op is passable, I suppose, but there are far better co-op games out there.
its pretty underwhelming that basically all the character progression is based in a loot system and not even a well designed loot system.
Its hard to think of a AAA game that is as un...
Why is this only in Europe?
I knew the battle gear must have been playable at some point. There was so much emphasis put on it and then you use it for only one or two deployment missions and thats it
Yet, the PS2 games had far more levels and content. and larger player counts.
With this new game, it is clear they spent the majority of their time trying to get the graphics to look as nice as possible, rather than giving the game a variety of maps and planets.
"MGS doesnt need Kojima"
Then I guess Konami doesnt need my money
seriously, the entire appeal of the series is that it came from a man's singular vision. there arent many games that have auteurs behind them. Alot of games feel like corporate products rather than something crafted out of love and creativity.
The feeling you get, playing MGS allows you to really connect with the developer. When wacky stuff happens or you stumble up...
I would have liked something a little more dynamic. Like a fully rendered backdrop of one of the locations from the game, with ambiance and atmosphere. That would be truly badass. But this is good too. At least it is a sort of symbol of accomplishment
that just makes me want to play it more. That is what you call a gaming accomplishment.
Thats why I like the new statistics that go along with trophies now, that tell you what percent of other people got it. If a trophy was only acquired by 1% of other people, then it actually sort of means something.
>8bit graphics
>appalling
today's generation of gamers are just an embarassment
why is this site even around still? This is the same site that gave legend of dragoon a 6/10. They have been one of the worst review sites for literally 15 years
I dont beleive a word that konami has to say.
Also, they are probably leaving out the massive ammount of money they are making from the micro transactions, which is all going straight to their pockets. Plus future DLC releases
this is why japan is the best
