How many of you ps3 fans are asian? And how many of you 360 fans arent? That might explain something about these forums.
P.S. Don't say that the ps3 online will be run with developers servers, or that they won't charge for it. In fact, it's pointless even to discuss it because at this point we just don't know. Sony can change or announce anything at any time, and until it's an official statement, it's just rumor.
Isn't GTA VI coming out a month earlier for the xbox360? Cause I read a thread on another site takling about how they were coming out at the same time. Isn't the release date Oct 13? A month from the ps3 launch? I know I might just be completely clueless but the 360 version is coming out a month earlier, right?

I'll tell you how we'll get out of this one: by sticking by our previous claims. This is stupid. Sony shouldn't have done it, and M$ should never do this. I don't think they will, M$ is not stupid, they know what fallout they'l get if they go through with this. It will probably never become mainstream anyway.

Have you ever heard of Oblivion? That is an incredible game, with a HUGE environment and stunning graphics. Do you know how much space it took up? 4 gigs. There is NO NEED for more than 9 gigs, at least for the next 2-3 years, and even then, will it kill you to switch a disk once? Are you THAT lazy? If so, it's pretty pathetic.
Wrong. To the average consumer, it's a matter of VALUE. Value= Quality/Price. The Xbox 360 has at least as good quality as the ps3, and even if you put it as a little bit less, the 360 still has better value.

I don't know zypher, I've been very satisfied with the 360's offerings so far. Graw and Oblivion are sweet, fight night is awesome, and I, for one, really liked prey. Not to mention XBLA, Dead Rising, COD2, PGR3, DOA4 and other good titles have made me very satisfied with my purchase.
To my knowledge the word "pwned" started in Warcraft III, where apparently a line was supposed to read, "you just got owned," and due to a typo read, "you just got pwned." After that, the word stuck.
Either that, or it started due to misspellings since the P and O keys are so close to one another.
Halo seems to me like a very good fit for a movie. Epic story, great action, good characters. PLEASE don't screw it up!
I really like how MS is handling this, giving us a choice. If you don't care about HD movies, that's fine, you won't have to pay extra for it. If HD-DVD fails, it doesn't hurt them hardly at all. If Blu-ray fails though... Sony's screwed big time. It's not like they can just take out the blu-ray player, because then they can't play old ps3 disks.
Also, I thought blu-ray and DVD were incompatible, right? Then how can the ps3 play old ps2 DVD disks?
I seriously doubt that Sony will have anything close to Live. The PS2's online service was a joke, and I don't think this one will be too much better. I thought I heard that each developer would have to put up thir own servers is this true?
I understand where you're coming from, but look at the games, almost ALL of them rated T or M. Other than XBLA the xbox360 is targeted much more towards teens and older gamers. MS is however trying much harder this generation to target the younger audience (Kameo, Viva Pinata, XBLA) but they aren't nearly there yet. You usually bring up some good points, but here I think you're dead wrong. I think this game is cool but simply being able to turn off blood and gore is an easy way to sidestep politicians and doesn't hurt the game itself one bit. If you want the gore, go ahead, keep it on, if you have young kids, turn it off. It doesn't change the gameplay one bit.
