SONY owns the GB franchise, so why are people claming they are paying for a timed exclusive like MS does? Plus, it seems SONY isn’t claiming it to be a full exclusive, unlike MS does (Bioshock, ToV, ES, LP, etc), so I don’t see what the big deal is. If they still release it for other systems then just deal with it. I don’t like timed exclusives, especially ones that aren’t presented truthfully as timed exclusives, but it makes sense when you look at it from SONY’s perspective. If MS owned the...
“spreads false lies (releasing target renders as in game gfx),”
Haha! Good one. At least SONY reaches their target renders when they do use them. It seems the HALO I am constantly being sold looks nothing like the HALO you actually play (see both HALO 3 & HALO Wars). So, who is the one falsely advertising their games? Also, last time I checked almost all SONY games use the in-game engine for their cut scenes (Uncharted, MGS4, R2, etc).
Drakengard 3! I doubt it, but I wouldn't mind seeing another Drakengard game.
I’m so glad this game is finally starting to sell well. I’m pretty sure we will see a sequel due to the renewed interest (which has translated into sales) and due to the comments of the people who worked on the game. They want to make it into a series or franchise, which I would love to see. VC is easily one of my favorite games I’ve played in a very long time.
I know a lot of people didn’t think the first game was all that great, but I really enjoyed it. I’m really looking forward to the sequel.
Looks like a lot of good rental material.
Wow, there are a lot of good prices but not too many good games. Of course I already own any of the ones that I would have been interested in. Nothing really stands out as a must buy (even at the very low prices) for me.
Haha, I have to agree to a certain extent. Demon’s Souls is similar enough to MH that I could live without one on the PS3, but I would still like one since they are different.
Yes, no, yes, no, maybe, yes… I’m going with yes, as the ad was in HOME. However, I don’t think this is really all that cool since I’m not down with exclusive DLC for either system. Hopefully this trend doesn’t last too long.
Glad to hear it isn’t only available at Best Buy as I’m preordering inFamous at GameStop. However, I’m not too sure how I feel about Uncharted 2 having multiplayer. I would much rather have the time and resources be spent on adding an additional hour or two to the single player campaign. I guess they felt like they had to add it due to reviewers and some vocal gamers that can’t just enjoy a great game experience on their own. Does it change the fact that I will preorder the game? Hell no, as ...
I’m going to say no, because I can’t believe people are that dumb to fall for the commercial without looking the game up online, downloading the demo, or just looking at the back of the box before making a purchase. However, do I think that commercial was very deceptive? Absolutely. Game commercials should show in-game footage, or even in-game cut scenes at worse, but to just show CG cinematics (not in-game engine) is total BS.
I know the FFXIII announcement last year was a big talking point for fanboys, but the MS keynote was generally very poor. They needed to announce a multiplatform game in order to get any hype about their system. That is pretty sad if you ask me. Besides more multiplatform games, they showed games we already knew about (Gears and Fable 2) and a bunch of casual games. Wasn’t very exciting. Sony showed some new games, including GOW3 and MAG, and then other exclusives we already had info on. It w...
Sorry Parapraxis, but like others have already stated those games (IPs) are owned by SONY and can’t be stolen. Could those developers make games that aren’t exclusive to the PS3? Sure. However, some of the studios you listed are in fact owned by SONY (Sucker Punch) or they have contracts for “X” amount of games with SONY (MM). So those games will be exclusive to SONY as well.
More like 7.5:1, but who's counting.
Glad to see this game getting good reviews. It is a really good game and I’ve enjoyed it a lot. I’ve actually put more time into this game then KZ2, but I am more of an RPG fan so that makes sense.
Nope, never tried remote play. I’m sure it will play fine on the PSP, but I was more wondering about what they are going to add/change to the game to make it different then the PSN version.
Good review. I loved this game. Still have to play through the DLC, but I’ve been just too busy with other games. I know some people probably thought it was too easy. However for me there was a certain fluidity and grace to the game which I found very appealing. It was a great change of pace from the flood of FPS’s available at the time. Plus the art direction is amazing.
I don’t mind the sprites, but they really could use an upgrade. I would like it if they were able to have them look more like the drawings used for the cut scenes. That would be pretty cool.
Cool! Already looking forward to the Disgaea 3 trophy patch and Cross Edge, so I guess I can find room for one more.
AWESOME! Can’t wait to hear more about this game at E3. They better announce a release date, and it better be sometime soon. Thanks for posting this.
