Why Sega? Why March? Why Q1?
I really want this game, but don’t know if I’ll have time for it when it releases. I’ll still be playing or waiting to play MAG, WKC, FFXIII, GOWIII, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Resonance of Fate, Red Dead Redemption, and maybe even Star Ocean 4. That’s just off the top of my head.
Ok, I don’t want to sound like a fanboy but MAG is getting underscored. I don’t think a 7 is horrible or anything, but the reasons behind the low scores aren’t even accurate most of the time.
I’ve spent a lot of time in the game and I’ve seen no bugs, no glitches, and only experience brief lag in two Domination matches. The game runs better than some single player games I have played, and it is online only. I don’t see how it gets knocked down marks for supposed technical proble...
And I should care because?
I’ve played the demo’s for both, and it is pretty easy to see which game is better (especially with the new screens of GOWIII). Dante’s feels like a clone, with inferior graphics, that is trying too hard to be edgy. OMG! Did I just see some breasts in my game... Golly, this must be awesome. Sorry, I’m not 12 and I’m not falling for it. Just hurry up and finish Dead Space 2.

Glad I’m not the only one. As for Demon’s Souls, hopefully they bring it out in Australia as it is a great game. If they don’t you should try to import it when there aren’t so many games coming out.

I haven’t played Mass Effect, but I have played a Bioware game before, seen Mass Effect being played, watch video reviews, read about it, and heard people talk about it on podcasts. So guess what, I do think I can form an opinion on it. I am not judging the game. I didn’t say the game was bad or anything, just that I don’t think of it as a true RPG. Guess what, it isn’t a fact and neither is your opinion of the game.

This is how I feel about it and why I am interested in it over other FPS games.
It would have been smart for Sony to drop the price to $40-50 since it is online only and people might hold that against the game, but I think it is worth $60. More people would be inclined to try it at a lower price. Anyway, are people going to complain about MMO’s being full price when they come out on Consoles? Even though MAG isn’t an MMO it has some MMO qualities and isn’t trying to be like those other shooters, it is a breed of its own. I hate when reviews try to judge a game by using ...

I’m probably in the minority, but I still prefer JRPG’s over WRPG’s. For all the love people give WRPG’s for their player driven story (by making choices), I find it to just be a slight upgrade from some older RPG’s. In fact, I find that they take away from the story most of the time seeing as my character can be wildly erratic. One minute he can be a perfect good guy, and the next he could be a total a-hole. I haven’t played LBP in awhile, but I still might get those costumes. Loving the Black Knight costume.
If the DLC for FFXIII is the same stuff that was cut I’m going to be upset, and I doubt I’ll pick it up. My interest in this game is nowhere near as high as past FF games. I know it is going to be a let down, but how much of a let down is still unknown.

So did they ask Namco Bandai if the The First Strike bundle was coming to NA or if the actual game was coming to NA? As I read it, it seems more like Namco Bandai is talking about The First Strike bundle. Anyway, if they don’t end up bringing Tales of Vesperia to the PS3 in NA they are just plain stupid. However, there are a ton of RPG’s coming out this year so it isn’t really that big of a deal.
Hmm... Seems like a lot of significant changes between the retail version and the beta. Maybe enough that any reputable gaming site or publication would hold off on reviewing it until they got to spend some time with the finished version? Just an idea.

I agree with you that the gameplay is what truly matters, but I am still disappointed in the artistic, graphical, and platform changes for VC2. Does that mean I won't get it? Hell no! I'll pre-order it just like I did with VC.
The setting didn’t call for over saturated colors, just to make things “feel” different. Also, it is called art direction. I loved the overall look of Killzone 2, and I’m not just talking about the superb graphics or animations. I think the Helghast and Helghan fit their character and history perfectly.
I LOVED the first VC. It is my favorite PS3 game, and one of my favorites of all time. However, I am not liking the changes they are making to the series. First off, I really wish this was on the PS3 and not the PSP. I have a PSP, but I game on my PS3 a hell of a lot more. By moving it to the PSP it doesn’t look nearly as good as the PS3 version (graphically), which is to be expected but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to be disappointed. Also, I am not digging the more anime look of VC2 game...
I don’t really mind installing games, but when much more impressive games don’t need such a large install (or one at all) I just find it funny. I mean come on, it is just the Unreal Engine and they have like 50 teams working on this game. Can’t they find a way to at least reduce the size of the DL?
