Well you already do all that stuff when buying your games. Sure you could download your games from XBLA but who would want to play only arcade games? Once in a while you want some quality stuff as well.
Same goes for blu-ray vs. Netflix. Netflix is fast and convenient but doesn't come close to blu-ray quality wise.
My source for hd-movies is a bit-torrent tracker. The legal alternatives doesn't come close in picture- and soundquality, speed, and the amount of movies available. And you don't have to hassle with drm and proprietary ms-formats. I wouldn't mind paying for my movies if the legal alternatives was just as good.
If this clip would have been posted by a random bloger it wouldn't have been approved. Just because it's IGN doesn't make it newsworthy.
And why so hung up on graphics? Fun is the most important aspect of the game.

The best part of the game imo is the speed run mode. Running the full levels on time, pushing your self to shave of just a couple of seconds from the time, is addictive.
Working at a company with a most likely similar future, soon to be closed down (UIQ Technology), I sympathize with the people at Free Radical. It's a sh*tty christmas this year.
Gears 2 would be awesome, L4D should be played on pc and the rest is meh.

I turned on the streams four hours before the show went live yesterday and suddenly that clip turned up. The laughs are fake.
So the clip they streamed live during the rehearsal was the real deal. Has any one told them what they did?
Same for me. Don't know what to make from this.

They showed a clip naming the winners of best driving game and best pc game and some more just a couple minutes ago.
WTF? They seem to be streaming the rehearsal as well. Have they already announced the winners of best pc game and driving game? Because they just showed a clip telling the winners. If they haven't either someone has screwed up or the clip was fake.
Another thing I noticed was that there where cheering, applauding and laughing despite no audience. Pretty lame if they'll keep that later.
I just saw Jack Black having a threesome with a 360 and a ps3.
It seems they're testing the equipment but there still streaming.
And then they changed all the stream to some women running around back stage with a mic small talking with the crew.
I'm not going claim it to be either fake or real, but there's a flaw in your argument. If the price have been photoshoped down from 399 to 299 why would anyone photoshop a nine that's already there?
