Need for Speed is an outstanding title on the Vita.
You're not going to find anything matching that quality on any other handheld on the market today and that includes phones.
FYI, I think it's pretty clear that this is probably Sony's last handheld. What I think they'll eventually do is have a Playstation Edition of their tablet series. Sort of like Razer. A Razer type device would be a seller to me personally because Sony's game lineup c...
I am a day one adopter of the Vita and I love my Vita. I'm gald I own the original OLED version because the display is amazing.
Right now I play mostly PS1 RPG's on there(replaying FF7 right now after finishing FFX HD), along with remote playing my PS4. There was a time when I really dug into the Vita library but I've been through all that interests me and it's sad to see the trickle of new titles(here is where a hothead comes in and names a bunch of Indy titl...
My kid is in bed and asleep by 8PM and my wife by 10PM. I do 2 hours of quality gaming per night the sacrifice is running on 6 hours of rest per day.
Got a used copy of it off Amazon in mint condition a few weeks back for $30.
I also scored Infamous SS off there for $35, used and in mint condition.
I think with this gen, especially being from Canada, I'm going to be buying used shortly after launch date. If you don't need it day one, you can save a crazy amount of money over the course of this generation.
Guys, the PS Vita is going no where. Cost of production has dropped a lot with the gen two PSV. If anything they start offering bundles with the PS4.
The PS Vita is my favorite handheld all time and I've owned most of them since the OG Gameboy.
I was playing PS4 Madden and COD last night on my toilet via the PSV on the other side of the house and on a different floor and it was almost seamless. When I'm hanging on the couch with my wife and her dumb c...
Last night I was playing Need For Speed Most Wanted, Dragons' Crown and Hotline Miami. The versatility in terms of genres is great.
As of March 18th I'll have FFI to FFX plus Tactics all on my Vita, how cool is that?
Beyond FFX, you have Borderlands 2, Minecraft, and Walking Dead Season 2 all coming to Vita by the end of this month. That is a pretty sweet month.
"So the Vita is a $200 accessory. If that is what Sony thinks will sell then I think they are mistaken."
I think you're the one who is mistaken. You clearly know nothing about the Vita and what it does, what it can do or the games which are currently available for play or what's coming down the pipe in the next few month.
I have a day one 3DS and a day one Vita. Honestly, I've used my Vita far more. The 3DS has a lot of excellent titles but Nintendo caters far more to children with cutesy are design. I love Mario games as much as the next guy but the Vita has a lot more games that appeal to me. Paired with PS+ you get a winning combo.
PS4 is the best thing to happen to the Vita though. With a Vita you can play your PS4 games anywhere, anytime in the palm of your hand. That's a beautifu...
You guys are look at this all wrong. Revenue doesn't matter. EARNINGS matters.
Average cost of production:
X1: $471/unit
PS4: $381/unit
Average revenue from sale:
X1: $500/unit
PS4: $400/unit
Units sold(ball park for demonstration purposes):
X1: 258k
PS4: $290k
Earnings (revenue, less expense):
X1: $129.000M - $121.518M = $7.482M
PS4: $116.000M - $110.490M = ...
Patcher: What senstation bull crap can I come up with to drive hits to my site so that I may make more ad. money?
I think Sony takes back North America this round. The Xbone just isn't offering enough and Microsoft was busy not telling gamers what they wanted to hear very early on in their announcements.
I find the title of this thread hilarious. Sony "sells out"? I'm sorry I didn't realize they weren't a mega corporation who's primary objective is earnings. LOL
Was thinking about buying Machinarium. Score.
Controller: Depends on the game. A lot of games don't need to use all those buttons. There is a lot a touch pad on the Vita which is alright once you get used to it... Takes a while though. I'm a day one Vuta owner and I'm used to using it.
"100% Not Possible"?
You'd think they have somebody Tweeting who knows English.
The guy look like he's twelve. How much experience does he have with level design? Come on... This game rocks, level design included. I'm guessing he got wasted continuously, it was too difficult for him...
Tossed my name in the hat. Hope to be t-bagging you people really soon. LOL
Reading this article may actually kill your brain...
To the guy complaining about advertising, how many 3DS adverts do you see? How many Android game adverts do you see?
There is a lot of math that goes into determining the value of add campaigns and companies tend to follow the numbers. If it's a big time game they get it out there everywhere, if it's not then it's more subtle, lower cost advertising.
Do most gamers not read gaming sites... Like this one? What, do you deem yourself and the rest of...
It was amazing three years ago... Which is why I think Sony should refocus on tablets that can do everything a Vita can(only better now due to advances in tech). Get a Razer type gaming accessory on it and presto, you have yourself the ultimate handheld. Capable of playing PS1, PS2(PS Now), PSP, PS Vita and PS4(remote).
