Clearly he would know that all Vita customers would freak out no matter when the announcement comes if the message is that the Vita and all devices under that umbrella are being discontinued. If the game turned out being a complete load of crap then I am sure the blogger would be more disappointed. If they're cutting ideas it's because it's the only way to meet the deadline and stay on budget. It is what it is. Don't like it then please don't buy it. Don't support what you dislike and maybe something you do like will come along. Money talks.
It's dead when Sony says production of the console is discontinued and developers stop making games. Until then you're just being over dramatic. People have been saying it's dead for three years and yet I'm still seeing new consoles hitting shelves and new game releases.

Before the online gaming I was a far more social gamer. I play with people online now sometimes but there was a time when I'd play a lot with friends in person. Golden Eye split screen, Mario Kart 64 battle mode, Sonic 2 with your friend helping you as Tails, Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, the list goes on. Playing with somebody sitting next to you on the couch is infinitely more entertaining and a more social experience than how most of us play today. That's my opinion.

A quick search on Google will show a very well documented batch of major problems with the PS3 version. Most issues were fixed but it took them a very long time. Is it possible you bought the game later and missed out on all the problems?

Edmix, I built something earlier in the year for around $1, 300 with the intent of having a machine which could put out Ultra settings at 1080, looking much better and running better than consoles for quite some time. It will take a while for 4k gaming to take the world by storm and by that time there will actually be value in such an investment. No point in getting in now but if you're building you want to make sure you have something that can be upgraded to 4k later.
It'll be three less cents that you regret spending, that's for sure.

A lot of the biggest games to release for PSP were from Japanese devs. If the Vita in the west will be focused toward Japanese Vita game ports then that's not all gloom and doom because a lot of good games come out of there.
