So you are saying there is no correlation between these sales and the sales of a 3DS or Vita? And thus insinuating that people can't game and also do thins on these devices?

Yes it will be a boost in those aspects but not by much. You expect to run Witcher 3 well or close to PC on a $400 system?

If there was no exclusives we would be in a more competitive perfect competition because there would be no differentiated products. Right now the game industry works in an oligopoly in which there are about four main firms who control most of the market. Without exclusives you would go to the system that was cheaper.

Exclusives are silly in a business aspect. Why would you alienate so much of your market and only develop for one platform unless you are obviously owned by the company.
I think that third party games are better than first party games most of the time actualy besides a Halo or Uncharted, etc.
Not particularly. It could work and be effective if it was to follow the PC model in which the games are cheaper and you would have insane sales. PC has basically already cut out the used game market as for Steam you are basically paying a license in order to play the game.
The console market will cut out used games that is inevitable it just a matter of if they will force it or let it go away gradually.

Sony doesn't "deserve" anything actually. If a company is having financial issues it is mostly their fault.
The consumers pick whether your products are good enough for purchase nothing is deserved in this business world. It is all earned and if Sony does gain millions of customers in China it is because they are offering a superior service not because they are deserving of the business.

Interesting assumption. Considering this game will be heavily scripted relying heavily on quick time events throughout. Sure even if that was in game quality which it won't be it still is beautiful. But it sacrifices choice and dynamic events and environments for this beauty. I wouldn't call it revolutionary.

Waiting a year won't drastically change the hardware anyway. giving devs only one year because you decided to change hardware t be slightly more powerful than Xbox is kinda silly. I say launch this year and compete. You have the exclusives so why not g head to head with Microsoft instead waiting a year and allowing them to drop the price when you come out. (Assuming we are talking about a year wait.)
I think a Nexus 7 is the better value. Now I didn't say gaming machine but if you are gonna spend 250+ it seems that the Nexus 7 is the choice to go with. Of course my personal opinion.
My person opinion here:
1. It was late to the party. I think that if it came out 1-2 years earlier it would be doing better sales wise.
2. Lacks cheap apps/games. If you are paying $250 for a device in 2012/2013 it is expected that good cheap games that appeal to casuals and hardcore alike would be ready for it.
3. Too expensive. Sure you can make the argument that the specs in this warrants it but at this moment you really can't looking ...
Immature gamers who spend countless hours justifying to the world why their console is the best or are so overly bias and idiotic that they can't even see the flaw in their stupidity.

Sony isn't asking for feedback really. They put the device up and the public is talking about it.
For the people who "hate" the Vita there are people "loving" and praising it.
Mobile phones are the driver of gaming revenue now. It is no where near then end put as phones eclipse dedicated handhelds then I can say that they will be on the decline.
I personally think Vita is Sony last dedicated handheld and will use the Xperia line as their gaming platform.
Does that mean we should be void of opinion and not express disinterest in the system because it hasn't reached a holiday season? The general consensus on people who don't own the system is the price is too high, now that means that we should be able to say that.
Also ironically the Wii-U isn't even out and it is being shunned and not given a chance even though it will undoubtedly sell millions yet people will claim sales are irrelevant and it's under powered ...
