The entire F2P sector was the neat/cool thing to me because they looked very well and compared to a $60 I was surprised that so many offered great looks and features.
I understand and agree with most of what you say but how does MS not do games?
This argument of Microsoft having no games when they showed 4 exclusive games and exclusive third party content isn't fair and it is biased actually.
That is the way everything is going though.
Laptops/Ultrabooks are killing off physical media.
No one has an issue with not owning Movies and music and books anymore because it is convenient. Times are changing and even though I don't see an end to gaming media yet it will come swiftly and sharply.
Why are people expecting such huge graphical leaps out of consoles?
I thought the goal of them were to be accessible, compact, easy to install and AFFORDABLE.
If this is true (which I highly doubt) then I still see no problem. Because if Sony went the power route then they would be at the same roadblock where their console is more than the competition.
Also, I don't think we should assume that because leaks were pulled they are true it ...
I thought it was a joke until I read the article...they were serious.
Batman
ACIII
Mass Effect 3
Tekken
Rayman Origins
2 EA Titles
Call of Duty
Future Solider Online
So let us cut the Nintendo doesn't have third party games anymore because it is biased not true and annoying at this moment.
And since I claimed to be getting all systems that doesn't seem to be a problem actually.
I will buy a Wii-U since it's the first next gen system. I plan on buying them all and seeing which one is best for me.
But you can never go wrong with a Nintendo console their games are the best in my opinion and I can't wait for the next Smash Brothers game and Zelda.
It changes nothing.
If you game on your Xbox you will buy Live.
If you game on you PlayStation you will buy PS+
One is a renting/discount service while the other is an online/application service.
They serve two different audiences.
From my guess I say Sony will charge for online next generation or make the incentives so high it would be like you need to buy the premium addition to even be satisfied.
I say go for it Microsoft you have the money and the ecosystems to turn Onlive into something really good.
I would have bought it and made native support for Windows 8 for it so that anyone who uses the Windows ecosystem on any form would have gaming access anywhere anytime.
People hate all companies obviously. But it is no secret that people can't stand Sony and boycott their overpriced under performing products (not my words.) It's the realty. Go to any tech website and Sony is ridiculed and laughed at as a company.
Did you actually read the article? The issue the article expresses is not one of power or performance or if the system can run these third party games. The real issue is whether the Nintendo family will actually care for third party since they will have the historical and best selling first party games.
I can understand his concern yet why is it assumedthat Sony and Microsoft will have these beast of all beasts that will lead to Wii-U being lost in the mix? If anything an attractive price point drives adoption and the games will come from EA, Ubisoft, Activision developers who pledged to have games for it. If sales are high the tune will change.
Take your time and make it a next generation title with a massive map to have vehicles.
Yes. People are over reacting as the usual because they said it will be more action based but keeps the horror. Gamers are going crazy off of some sample E3 footage and rhetoric from gaming journalist who claim what a small group of fans want which is a good scary game.
The same reason the internet hates Sony it is all about perception and reception. People hate and love IGN. I personally don't care for IGN but it has a loyal fanbase like a Sony has. I think hate for a company isn't warranted though because it is all subjective.
Everyone copies everything at this moment and that is called innovation.
You take what someone else has made and make it better for people.
No one "invents" things anymore or comes out with out of this world idea. It is all ideas that have been bought to the table that were either not ready for the marketplace or not handled well enough.
I'm predicting 8+ Million Sales in the first 6 months with 11+Million in it's first year.
I'm going to guess:
Dead Space 3
And an original IP
AMD 8000 series vs Nvidia 700 series will be good.
Can't wait!!!
What does being Call of Duty even mean? All it ever did was take what other shooters did right and put it into one game.
Also why is CoD the poster boy of the console shooting genre? Doesn't Halo take that?
