Sorry Raf but I liked it. The old school style was still there, although admittedly toned down but it was still scary in places. Kinda.
It was a great game anyway, I enjoyed it.
Maybe you should worry less about Valve and more about being able to make a coherent sentence.
Indeed, 3 years is a long time to develop a game? That's a pretty average development time really. I was expecting to see something like Prey which had been in development on and off for 11 years, or maybe Duke Nukem Forever even though it's turned into vapourware.
Well this is for pc gamers, not sure why you're commenting really. Stick to news for consoles.
They should get their hands off the controllers and get in the kitchen and make the dinner. Sharpish.

Lol, it's a sign of the times I'm afraid, where there's a blame there's a claim. Totally ridiculous.
Outstanding.
The only time I use IE is when I need to download Firefox after a reinstall, and I usually stick all the neccessary bits and bobs I'll need after a reinstall on a cd or dvd so it's very rare.
IE just feels horrible to use when you're used to Firefox now.
Mabreu, I'm struggling to find the logic in your comment.
If they didn't have to pay for it would they not go online?
Let's remember this is a review from The Guardian, they're never exactly in-depth when reviewing any game.
Great if you're Russian I suppose, or can at least speak the lingo.
Just leave it off until tomorrow, it's no real problem it's just one day. I should imagine they'll have it fixed fairly swiftly.
I've got my copy coming at the end of the week :)
Pretty decent list, I can agree with the majority of that I think, especially Eternal Darkness and SH2.
Yeah good tips, cheers.
The ps3 graphics looking better than the ps2. Who'd have thought.
Civ is the ulimate desert island disk I think. You can lose so much time to a single game and it's different every time you play it.
The game, like its predecessor, will p*ss all over the graphics on console games. Only on the pc though.
Consoles will be different. But the pc version will blow the consoles away graphic wise, just like the first one does.
I've yet to play the previous games, I saw a friend playing the first on the ps2 a couple of months ago and I was stunned to see how well it looks considering when it was made.
I want the collection really, I'd prefer to play the first two before playing the third.
It's a good feeling to be a pc gamer. Unrestricted by a console barrier. Able to play games to HD resolutions, proper HD resolutions.
To play FPS games the way they were meant to be played.
And to have over 2 decades worth of content to play.
Don't you worry about us, we have plenty of exclusive games.
