Loved that pimp cane shotgun...
MS should buy Valve, confirm HL3 and remaster the Orange Box. Perhaps even bring back CounterStrike (I can dream lol) Then they'll have a system seller. Gears, Halo & Forza are not going to pull them out thier current rut. And I do love the X1X, but there's way too much focus on BC. I want to see games that show me why I dropped another $500...
Nope...those days are gone...aaaalll by myyseeelf ladadadaaaa.....
Yay, another useless article...this time about reversible paper, FYI so is toilet paper...
I need an ounce of whatever your smoking...
Battlefield already does 64 players. Switching the rules up and condensing the maps a little, could easily facilitate a BR mode.
@Dedicated , Exactly my point, being a Japanese console, it has a crapload of niche games getting localized all the time. If your not into those type of games then an X1 will suit you just fine. It was the same deal on Ps3,2 & especially PS1 when it came to RPG's (I miss SquareSoft/Enix). The same way alot of western games constantly do poorly in Asia. Different strokes for different folks. God forbid I say anything defamatory about Sony lol. FWIW, I own all 3 so it definitely isn...
Damn, I just bought Phantom Pain during thier Spring sale too. Now Vanquish I've been wanting to play again for ages, such a great game. I love the slide mechanics, so over the top.
You do have to keep in mind that most of that disparity comes from the vast library of japanese games that really aren't for everyone if truth be told. That's the demographic I feel is best suited for X1X.
I've always appreciated Sony's "Greatest Hits" pricing. Even broke gamers could eventually experience all their AAA titles for dirt within a reasonable timeframe. Nintendo's "Player's Choice" selections on the other hand, have been lame for years. It takes forever for their games to hit that sweet spot, and by then you've likely caved and bought them at MSRP anyways or passed on them. Gaming is expensive...:(
They did this a few years back, I believe it even brought a portable version. "Neo Geo X Gold" I think, but I could be way off lol...
Maybe CoD is embracing an "A la Carte" gaming model. BO3 had a Zombies only expansion for $30, Infinity War was tied to CoD4 reboot and people screamed murder, perhaps now they'll part it all out at $25-30 a piece and literally give people what they want. If you do the math perhaps selling the MP w/ Season pass included for $60 would appeal to many, Instead of everyone paying $100+ around launch, like we do now. I'm sure many would opt to save $40+ to skip another likely for...
Using Ground War mode as an example people will likely be running in the sky and under the map lol...without hacks...
Sad part is that I've fallen into that demographic of individuals that have ignored the campaigns for years anyways. After a while they all felt the same to me. I've enjoyed the MP solely and never understood the hype over Zombies. But atleast I've always had the option, it always felt like a 3 for 1 deal @ $60, now with MP only it's just straight exploitation of their devoted fanbase...
Battle Royale games are a recent craze, meaning they're just now tacking this mode on to get in on the hype. CoD has often staggered to run proper Ground Wars and that was only 18 players. Imagine 36+, Lag Ops IV inbound....
I personally enjoy the effort towards BC games but ultimately play them for just a few minutes and go right back to something recent. The X1X enhanced titles are easy on the eyes, RDR looks new to me.
No Sh!t...
Exactly, I clicked expecting like 1/2 off, but 10%, Pffftt...
I guess those of us who've been long-term PS+ subscribers in essence already have a free version of Game Pass if you really think about it. The games on Plus were just as good as those on GP, especially if you've consistently added them to your library over the years...
Wouldn't count on it, Nintendo hasn't done Zelda collections since the GC and those weren't retail, Preorder bonus I believe...
