Agree mostly with what you have said. as far as Async goes or GPGPU goes, devs can easily use for graphics related computation.
Or use for non Graphics related stuff. It is up to them.
Regardless, using Async alone should boost their performance by quite a bit.

Devs will constantly figure out a way to optimize the hardware more and more.
Devs have not even yet begun to utilize Async on PS4. Cerny said it will take some time to master, but it will unlock additional power and GPGPU when it does.
You guys do realize that PS4 has 4 TIMES more ASYNC compute than Xbox One...
For devs, this is untapped power on PS4.

If this is true, this is a massive boost for PS4 given how it has 8 ACE(xbox only has 2). This will widen the gap.

How about stronger hardware? 40% stronger GPU is pretty huge plus GDDR5.

So PC is pretty excluded from there. Also, MS dont get any cut from PC games sales.

1.31 tflop refers to your GPU power. Your data transfer speed just make sure you can feed data fast enough to your GPU, so it doesn't get bottle neck. This goes for PS4 too. Thats why some people argue that gap is bigger if you account for GDDR5 and what not. Adding ram ...

Sony acquired MM and Sucker Punch.
They also now have multiple teams in each studios working multiple games in parallel.Sony dropped few PSN game non AAA studios or consolidated few.

The whole point of DX12 is giving "console like" efficiency to PC.
Nvidia(while it was never close as console) had decent efficiency. They are known for their optimized drivers and what not.
AMD while it offered better power for its price, had low efficiency due to weaker drivers.
DX12 fixes this. It gives efficiency to both cards. AMD just have more to gain because it is currently being underutilized.

Either way, so much crow have been eaten. This game and Metal gear solids were some fans prime example of how X1 is catching up.... While other games were getting released at 900P, some people ignored them and used these two as flagship examples...
