Wait, what? Eidos within Square Enix itself is just being dissolved and absorbed or something? Like the Eidos brand name isn't going to exist anymore? Or does the author only mean the end of its independence?
I really really really want to see valve make a game in a genre other than FPS.
I'm ten missions or so into the campaign and I love it. The missions aren't as cookie cutter typical of each other like they were in the original SC and add quite a bit of variety from fighting off zombie-esque waves of infested humans that come out during the night and burning their hovels during the day, avoiding lava flows and or luring the zerg into it, or racing against a rival to salvage the most scrrap metal to hire mercenaries.

You don't realize that Blizzard makes games other than World of Warcraft, do you Merivigian.... ? They've released several console titles in the past and guess what? Gasp! All were free to play after the initial fee!

Why so much hate on Medal of Honor? The Medal of Honor series was great in its first few installments and you know what? THEY HAD NO MULTI PLAYER. Are you telling me that just because its a decade later and if it doesn't have a new, fresh, innovative kickass online mode then that game is crap? No matter how amazing the single player is despite Medal of Honor being renown as a single player series and doing it well?
I played the demo to its maximum extent twice then ended up buying the game. I found its graphical style refreshing and straight up parody of the adventure / action RPG genre on every level imaginable to be humorous.

I hate to say it being a PS3 only owner but its going to be difficult to push 3D into the main stream with $1,000 televisions and glasses that come off feeling a bit gimmicky. If anything is going to push 3D gaming into the mainstream its going to be Nintendo's 3DS with its 3D filter and glasses free effects.
What about Starcraft 2? Why does everyone forget about PC exclusives and vouch for console games as GOTY?... why! : /

It may have been a flop in initial sales expectations but I have a hard time imaging 2+ million sales and achieving greatest hits status on both systems as something EA is ashamed of. Now maybe if it was a project that had 100 million dollars invested into it, then sure, it'd have been a flop. But Dead Space did swell for a new IP and is highly praised by critics and consumers alike for its art/sound direction and overall atmosphere.
