And after reading up on the lore/story to ME1&2, playing the ME2 demo, seeing the ME3 trailer, and thinking about how you can recruit/save allies or potential future allies I was thinking to myself "Man, I sure hope ME3 has at least one ending where the reapers will devastate all life based upon your choices in the previous games"

Perhaps The team working on AC or Ubisoft wizened up and realized people hate paying for cut content that was supposed to be in a game. Then again maybe Ubisoft is just trying to get on our good sides when they eventually release DLC you pay for. Who knows.

lol I think prototype was fun. Consuming and disguising yourself as people then accusing other soldiers of being yourself and watching them get shot up was funny. It was also fun to tentacle arm chain-hijack helicopters, go on rampages, and traveling was always fun and was better implemented than infamous. I don't think its web of intrigue did anything to help the less than mediocre story and cut scenes though. Its not anything I'd buy for full price but its alrite for a $20 price...
Maybe those games were actually profitable = /
