Its an interesting response to say the least. Though can you not see both companies offer something totally different from one another? Giving punters a choice? If you want immediate access to online games the go for 360, if your wanting something else, dare i say "more"? go with PS3.

If people are licencing ANY middleware tools its highly likely its due to costs. I think its cheaper than creating from scratch. Also, think of the time saved knowing the engine is already up and running.

My wheels at the ready! Gamespot mentioned the damage model isnt "totally" real. They mentioned bumpers flying off, dents etc etc, but this is far as it goes visually. Your car will still handle like a pile of $hite of course! Would of been great to of seen a complete mangled mess!! Roll on May!!
The video looks really really nice! especially the rock textures and sky.
I still think some of the issues will be out of neglect and improper placement of the machine, but its a worrying trend non the less.

I agree also, Crackdown is a real blast, and strangely enough im not actually getting bored like some of the other guys on here.
Along with my colleague, Richard Joesph was a huge force in good old Amiga days. From his work with Sensible Software, Millenium and of course the Bitmap Brothers. He had a unique sound which i guess made him stand out from the crowd. He will be sadly missed in the industry.

FFXII is a brilliant game! epic doesn`t do it justice! and certainly for a 7yr old machine, looks very impressive! Though i never minded the random battles from previous, the new system is incredibly intuitive, especially once you get your gambits working.
