Expecting anything else other than an 8.9 would of been wishful thinking. All things considered this is an exellent review! and bodes well for the sequel, where im sure all these little nagging issues can be ironed out (rumble aside of course). Come 23rd of March i will be rather happy to give it a whirl, online and off.
One of the VERY few sadly! Pc 1st and foremost mate! Of course ive had my fair share of consoles over the past few years, but pc games are still my bread and butter if you like! On a side note did you dload the Tiberium Wars demo yet?
"No one on this site understands PC gaming".
Best retract that statement my friend.
Fantastic visuals!!
This game rocks!!! looks fantastic!!! The fx on this are fab, especially when u have have hordes of troops on both sides shooting each other! One hell of a light show!! Smart interface, cool live action cutscenes, all the hallmarks of classic C+C.
An exellent read! didn`t really duck any questions either. I guess some info about things will be revealed at GDC in march.
5 out of 5! ........well looking at all reviews of this game so far, its clear as sky you need to play the thing for your self..........4 out of 10 on one hand, then 5 out of 5 on the other! One thing thats common in all the reviews however is that its a fine looking piece of software! Ill try the demo 1st i think.
very nice, though not sure of that rather glossy tarmac shot!!!
Interesting last part of Phil`s quote-:
"There will be specific game function controllers, potentially like steering wheels that do include vibration or feedback function -- not from us but from third parties."
I guess we WILL see rumble of some sort, though not from Sony. And with the advent of "patching" on consoles, this would be relativley easy to implement on games that appear before such a device existed(TDU for example). Though obviousl...
Even a game of this size and scope still fitting on one disc! Further proof of dvd being just fine............for now.
Looks great! Hot Shots Golf is one of my favourite franchises!!! Looking forward to this.
Tell me something we didn`t already know!
Ill stick my neck on the line and say they are ingame shots taken using photo mode.
Certainly looks impressive from a visual standpoint.
An exellent move, though i think "industry news" only Madds?
What about the guy on the left? jk.
The problem with storing to your hard drive is it would take too long to access, and usually the drive is in use on more important tasks, same applies with DVD or Blue Ray, so the fx needed on a per level basis for example need to be in memory. Fx absloutly must hit the mark
when asked upon.
This looks very promising indeed!!! Though these type of physics would be a nightmare for us sound designers!!!! The days of suplying one sample/effect per animation is gone!! The amount needed for the wood to splinter this way would be very high. Taking into account memory restrictions on consoles, this would be quite a challenge!
what? strike 3 bubbles?
Very good if true, best put in the rumours section for now though huh?
