I thought there was an article saying that Sony has gathered quite a few new gamers on their console (converting some Xbox and Wii) gamers. I am sure those folks are glad to be able to play TLOU.
If I am remembering it correctly, then it certainly isn't a ripoff to them.

WOW, just wow. Sacred 3? That is not anything like the older sacred games.
It is now just a hack/slash non open world mission based game. No leveling, no crafting, no loot.
This is a huge let down for me. Loved Sacred 2.
Did anybody actually read the article? The $650 price is a rumour - not substantiated. So take a deep breath and count to 10.
I think the biggest issue will be selling it to the masses because of the reported piracy of PC games. Kind of hard to sell a console when the majority of Chinese gamers are on PC (and using prirated games). Even in the article a gamers writes:

If you want to compare this game to anything - Defiance.
Defiance's (initially) played very similiar to Destiny.
1. You could just roam the world helping folks kill enemies.
2. When you go into the limited respawn areas in Destiny - Defiance had a similar mechanic (except you went into your own instance).
3. Guns leveled up
4. Events in the open world (Defiance's were ark falls)
5. Random side quests in the open w...

I can see differences in the images but if you didn't have the game running side by side - you wouldn't miss out on anything.
So if you like the game, either console will work just fine from those screen shots in the article.
Another article comparing 2 systems that is ridiculous to compare at this time. Xbox One's version of the beta is at 900p. PS4 is at 1080p.

Please correct me here, but the beta for the Xbox One is supposedly at 900p. Destiny have said and shown video for the final release of the version for Xbox One at 1080p.
So why compare beta versions that will obviously change or is this just a click bait article?

There are a lot of reasons to boycott Activision however Crash Bandicoot is not one of them in my opinion.
I will gladly get Destiny if it is a good game.

WOW - you really have no idea how the world actually works?
There are a lot if different issues facing folks in which a 1K PC would not fit for them. Here are a few:
1. Finished school and paying off loans at a entry level job
2. Kids - they aren't exactly free
3. Sick family members that you help out
4. House & car payments for your family.
Gaming should always be a hobby and take a back seat to taking ...
Didn't know that 1K PC will give you ultra settings in 6 years with no updates/upgrades.
No OS upgrade cost, no anti-virus cost, no mal-ware cost, no firewall cost, no time/effort to keep everything running cost...
I think you are simplifying the PC owning experience a little bit.

Why does Sunset Overdrive not appeal to me? All the games I have played - SO hype factor should be 10 but for some reason I can't get excited.
I really see a lot of Ratchet and Clank in the game and the idea of 8 man co-op was in another of their games - Resistance 2?
Hopefully when this releases it will be an amazing game. Insomniac is a great developer even if they had a few misses lately (Fuse comes to mind).
Crytek has built games with all flash and no substance. Their games have some amazing graphics but the game-play has been bland/boring recently.
I did play Crysis and Crysis 2. Crysis (original) was amazing open world type of game with good AI responses. Crysis 2 was none of those things.
I didn't play Ryse but I have read quite a few reviews about beautiful environments but boring and repetitive game-play.
