I was just about to bring up that same point: GT3 was released in 2001. The PS2 was still in its infancy at that point in time and there certainly was not even over 30 million PS2 units sold at that point.

Feature films are rampant this generation with heavy levels of drastic and egregious violence; you'll see oscar-winning war films with scenes of limbs being blown off of people and heads being decapitated by a big bronze cannon ball.

MW2 is a really fun game and it's massive success is proof of the longevity the game has (I am obviously referring only to the online portion of the game.)
The exploits and glitches that have been witnessed since launch have shown some degree of carelessness on Infinity Ward's part, but hey the game continues to improve.

Oh yes, how could I have forgotten about the whole 12-month lead the Xbox 360 had on the PS3 and the Wii (and the consequences of that lead manifested itself in the entire RROD fiasco.) ...
And with the recent news of the technological dependancy that Natal will require from the parent console the Xbox 360, it looks like Natal will be coming out with mere variations of the "Swat the fly with your hands"-type of minigames. Don't expect to see Gears of War 4 or Halo Umpteenth as Natal-centric software.
Now if Natal could produce games that require the amount of "passionate" activity shown in this video, I guess it could possibly produce something...
