You also forgot to mention that Nintendo Gamers never spammed the user review sections of Metacritic with negative reviews to reduce the score of a PS3 exclusive (e.g. Resistance 2 user scores getting spammed by Xbox fanboys).
I know this may sound like hyperbole, but in all my years of gaming I've never seen such ridiculous-desperate and outrageously-stupid fanboys as most Microsoft/Xbox fanboys.

but it may well be Kinect's fault. If games require two people playing simultaneously to stand within a relatively close range of each other to both be effectively recognized by the camera, it could be a peripheral fault.
Otherwise you could play kinect games less passionately and just look over your shoulder and move slowly to avoid hitting anything.
Ergo, perfect peripheral for senior citizens???

Microsoft is known for BS'ing the audience and making bold claims that they eventually contradict. They'll accept 3D gaming and blu ray with open arms one day, just as well with some kind of tangible control device for the Kinect
Their slogan for Kinect: "It isn't hard to let go when you have nothing to hold on to" made me laugh, just for the fact that I know they'll disregard that ideology and try to sell some overpriced controller for the Kinect on...
