Seeing that Square and Konami have jumped on the NFT bandwagon, sadly I won't be surprised to see Capcom do the same with some generic statement like, "with the 35 anniversary, you too can now own a piece of Capcom's history with exclusive NFTs". It seems inevitable.
What drivel!
A single haracter to unlock costs 100 000 Fight Money.
A new stage, 70 000 FM.
A single story mode costume, 40 000 FM.
A single stage variation, 40 000 FM.
Now times that for each DLC character, stage and costume and see how feasible it is to say, "But you could unlock them with in-game currency. That’s not really a paywall ". Honestly, it entices players to spend real money to unlock content when every as...
This is what fight games have become, selling characters via microtransactions by drip feeding fans until there's nothing left to milk. Release the next version, rise and repeat. Pretty much why I just don't care for the genre anymore. I remember when players could unlock a wealth of hidden characters just by playing the game.
Why would he limit his next big project to a niche platform like vr and deny a mass player base his next big project? While a vr Kojima game will be cool, I don’t think it makes sense if the vr adoption rate is still mediocre at best. Imagine needing to buy psvr2 which scalpers will scoop up just to play a Kojima game.
Introducing more cancer into gaming.
I partially agree with your statement. Consoles have usually been a much more simpler way to game over PC gaming, but as consoles have become more PC like over the years, it also has its fair share of issues. Cheating exists regardless of platform nowadays. Play any FPS game on consoles and you'll run into gamers who use adapters which enables kb/m, cronus devices to have no recoil and other advantages, games released broken that needs patching, buying a new game especially physical on PS...
So what if Forza is 1st party with MS money behind it. Many 1st party games also don’t get reviewed well. You expect simply for being indie a game needs to to be treated more lenient. Its almost insulting cause some of the best games this year are indie titles like Death’s Door, Kena, Inscryption and Loop Hero.
Would be nice to be irrelevant and still make $13k a month on patreon.
I guess I’m one of the few people who is more hyped for Space Marine 2. Although the SW Eclipse trailer was interesting, but I’ll wait for gameplay as Quantic Dreams can be hit or miss.
Messed up prices? Comeback when Sony stops charging and extra $10 simply because it’s a PS5 title.
Seeing that it took Intel's latest $600 i9 to beat the base M1 chip recently in single and multi-core benchmarks, we can clearly see how much value the M1 brings. I guess it's still cool to hate apple.
Gamers can already use things Xim Apex to use kb/m on consoles without needing to install exploits.
Highly doubt it will "get really bad" for Sony.
The PS4 was exploited years ago, yet piracy remained extremely low. Even the early version of the Switch had unpatchable tegra exploit that to this day lets gamers pirate their games quite easily, yet Nintendo is killing it with the Switch. If this exploit does get released, you probably have to stay on low firmware to retain the cfw missing out on actual fw updates and fixes.. I doubt a majority gamers who spend at least $50...
Another Konami own goal.
Famitsu are shills. Give them money and they promote any rubbish and give it good scores
An 8 isn’t harsh, it’s a good score.
Unless you're David Jaffe.
"Your uneducated way of thinking" Stopped reading right there. Calling some stupid for stating the obvious. MS made them an offer they could not refuse.
Football. Played using hands. Lol, American logic.
So the golden age is now? Many AAA games released in bug ridden states, countless micro transactions (sorry I mean time-savers), on top of mtx they also have season passes. Let’s not forget the current trend of pushing NFTs scams into gaming. It’s the golden age of meh.
