Yes, that's a nice article...from July 2007, almost 2 years ago. I'm fully aware of the sitting aside of a billion dollars...and it serves them right too for releasing the early models before they were ready for the market. But MS isn't selling the 360 at a loss anymore, and it's actually making them a profit. Not to mention all of the software they sell.
The 360 is actually profitable for MS, unlike the PS3 is for Sony.
Unless your company name is Nintendo, I think it's a bad idea to release a new console that doesn't have a significant graphical upgrade from the previous one. Releasing a 360 with built in Natal is a great idea, as long as it's still a 360 and plays 360 games.

The title of the article is a little deceiving. It makes it sound like the original Xbox is CURRENTLY outselling the PS3, when in reality it's saying that the first Xbox sold more in the length of time it has been on the market compared to the PS3 in the same amount of time. Still, it's not good for the PS3.

I can't do PC gaming, I need my controller. For me, Halo, Rainbow Six and Gears of War are the kings.
I like the sound of the firefight mode. Playing Horde in Gears 2 is a blast, so this should be cool too.

I guess the value will depend mostly how long the new campaign is. All of the other things they're including is a nice bonus too.
I agree, I don't like the gimmicks. Even if I do get Natal, I'll still prefer the controller with most games. I don't think anything other than the controller will be the main source of input for us hardcore gamers.
However one of the cool things about Natal is that it can be integrated for use with the controller to supplement it. Imagine playing a FPS and clinging to a wall, and then actually tilting your head to the side to peek around the corner. Or maybe using a throwi...
