I will be excited about Natal if they ever start using it to complement the controller in hardcore games (such as moving your hand in a throwing motion to toss a grenade or moving your head to peek around a corner). Otherwise, I'll just stick to the good old fashioned controller. But then again, as the parent of a young child, I do like the idea of simple, fun games that she can play too.

I would be very surprised to see any of the Gears original trilogy make its way to the PS3. I could future Gears games on there if there's ever a discrepancy between MS and Epic, but I'm willing to be that the original Gears trilogy stays on the 360 only. Of course, as long as Gears remains as popular as it is, I think MS will be willing to pull out their bottomless wallet to make sure the Gears franchise remains a 360 exclusive.

I can't wait to play Red Dead Redemption, and GTA V sounds cool, but what I'm really looking forward to is L.A. Noire! That game is going to kick ass, and I like the sound of the detective angle that it's going to have.

"What started all of this hullabaloo was a snarky comment I made on Twitter after seeing a chart that showcased that the vast majority of Microsoft's profit came from Windows and that the Xbox wasn't contributing much at all to the bottom line. " -- Well hey, at least it isn't LOSING money, unlike other consoles out there.

BTW, people can rag on the 360 all they want, but to say that it has a clunky controller design is just dumb. The 360 controller is way better than ...

I know Munders, it would appear so. I think they should be counted or at least note that they're MS exclusives.

Hello? Splinter Cell? What about the game that's likely to be the highest rated Metacritic game of 2010 with a 9.6, Mass Effect 2? I know ME2 is on the PC, but there's only one console you can play it on.

I guess it all depends what MS's strategy is. I think the smart thing to do would be to make it as cheap as possible. This way, during the Christmas season when people ask themselves which console they want, the 360 with Natal at a cheap price may help them sell more. Not to mention the more Natals they get into homes, the more software for it they'll sell.

Also, I'm sure that MS will want to bundle Natal with 360s. They probably don't want to drive up the cost too much since...

Well the 360 does have its advantages, like lesser load times for most games and better anti-aliasing. But from a storage standpoint, of course Blu Ray is better than DVD 9.

The controller was a big reason why I chose the 360 over the PS3. The PS3 is so "futuristic" I guess you could say, but its controller design is three gens old now. The button layout is just fine, it's just not ergonomically correct like the 360 controller. I know some prefer the PS3 controller, but most likely it's because they've been using that design for years now and are used to it. But I'm willing to be that if you took 10 people who have never held either controller, at l...

At this point, MS should start letting developers make games that require the user to have a HDD. Just put a highly visible warning on the package and a big yellow sticker over the cellophane so people know. 360 users who don't have a HDD are most likely just casual users anyway.

Heavy Rain from what I've read is a very unique game, the first of it's kind. MS should just let it be. If they want to create something with the Heavy Rain feel, it needs to be different enough where it won't feel like an imitation.

Besides, their exclusives schedule this year, unlike last year, is pretty good. They don't need to copy the game, as someone above me said. In fact the highest rated exclusive so far this year is Mass Effect 2, which has a 96 on Metacritic (the s...

I never even knew that Deadly Premonition game existed. Whether it's as good as Heavy Rain or not is beside the point for me. I'm just happy to see Jimmy Wang Yang finally starring in a video game.

"And again, what did the Xbox have? XBL and a HDD. Big whoop." Yeah, I'd say it was a big deal. Having XBL and a HDD allowed the Xbox to do things the others couldn't.

The only reason they cut short the life span of the Xbox is because they knew that they pretty much did all they could for that generation, and the PS2 had such a huge marketshare. They wanted to focus on the 360. It had nothing to do with "futureproofing", because by the time the Xbox was pulle...

That won't happen unless the software companies find it to be economical.

No reason for name calling, retard. You know, there are other ways to acquire exclusives, and the 360 has done a great job at doing that. "The 360 has no games". Yeah right. Hey, 2009 wasn't exactly a banner year, I'll admit that. But all you have to do is go to Wikipedia and look at their list of exclusives and you'll see some pretty kick ass titles on there. Then after you're done that, fanboy, look at the 2010 line up. The 360 has already had a possible game of the year wi...

Well, if you go to Wikipedia and count the exclusives (which I didn't sit there and count each one) they appear to be close. However, if you count the games that are console exclusive (meaning they are on the 360 and PC and not the PS3) than the 360 definitely has more. I know that you PS3 guys don't like to count console exclusives as exclusive, but the bottom line is the solid majority of gamers want to play in their living rooms so they are going to see what's available on the 360 and PS...

No company is going to have the strongest console every single generation. Hell, if you look at the screenshots of the upcoming 360 exclusives, the 360 is proving that it is still on par with the PS3 in the graphics department.

However, there is the storage capacity issue. Not to many games have had to be compromised thus far, but as we move farther along into the generation, situations like Lost Planet 2 may become more of a reality.

But just remember fanboys, las...

I hope PSN succeeds. With just about every business I can think of, close competition often equals better deals for the consumers. The sad thing is with both services, most of the cooler services introduced will only be available if you pay. However, to be able to play for free on Live would be cool.
