You know Shaka, there are plenty of great 3rd party games out there that even though they don't look as pretty as a PS3 exclusive, have better storylines and gameplay than the majority of exclusives. There will be a lot of great games that you miss.
I hope GTA V looks like this.
"It's because 360 owners don't have any AAA exclusives to play, nothing" -- Yeah, we only have the highest rated exclusive of the year so far, Mass Effect 2 (96, the same Metacritic score as Uncharted 2). Splinter Cell will be here soon as well, likely to great reviews also.
I've been looking forward to this one. If it turns out to be a PS3 exclusive, then I'll have to buy my PS3 sooner rather than later. I'd prefer to wait until there's another price cut or two since I'm in no hurry to get one, but I definitely want to play L.A. Noire.
On a different note, MS's solution is simple: F the people who don't have a HDD and let developers start requiring a HDD. Only casual gamers don't have a HDD anyway, and no casual gamer is going to buy L.A. Noire....
MS will establish a Sony-like business model and support the 360 well after the next Xbox is released. True they did drop the original Xbox like a bad habit after the 360 came out, but things are different this time around. For starters, they have a lot more of the market share. Second, they know that if they do the same thing with the 360 after the next Xbox comes out, it will just entice people to go with Sony the next time around. And finally, Sony's business model of supporting a cons...
Sony should just do the right thing and update their controller so it feels natural to shoot with the trigger buttons instead of the shoulder buttons. The feel of the 360 controller is much more natural.
Usually the sales of a game's sequel in a way reflects how good the first one was. If a game is awful, why would you buy the sequel, right? I mean, sure, there are some examples where a game is so-so, and then YEARS later, a totally different and revamped sequel comes out to great success and reviews (like Killzone). But usually a sequel that comes out within a couple years of the first won't do so well if the original sucked.
So to be fair, let's let the sales of the inevitab...
@Too Pawned - Alan Wake, ME2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and even Halo: Reach are all new 360 games coming out that have amazing looking graphics.
@lokiroo - I got here too late to read what you wrote since it was deleted by a mod, but I can tell by looking at some of your other posts that it was full of idiocy anyway.
Don't bother beans, there's no reasoning with the kids on this board, and they indeed are kids. They never want to acknowledge anything remotely good from MS. Their feeble minds are incapable of accepting the fact that both consoles have their pros and cons. They think that Sony LOVES them, and in turn they have this scary allegiance to Sony, a CORPORATION that, just like MS, would take your last dime if they could. They'll realize that one day when they grow up.

Sweet, Portal 1 ruled. I can't wait for the sequel. Although, I'd rather see them release Half Life 2: Episode 3 first.
This is both sad and disgusting. As the father of a young daughter, hearing something like that horrifies me.
"Game addiction has become a serious concern in South Korea. Frequent news of addicted gamers dropping dead from exhaustion, growing number of students skipping school and teenagers showing abnormally violent behavior have prompted the state to start searching for solutions." -- What the hell is it with those people? Gamers dropping dead from exhaustion? I'm ...
Ladies and gentleman, please learn to use decent grammar and punctuation. Occasional typos are fine, hell, I do them too once in a while. But messages like, "i say it should be sue microsoft for rrod wait nvm ppl are suen them now i still have my rrod xbox i should sue them haha than buy a new house full of ps3s and new sony tvs with 3d haha microsoft sucks" prove nothing except your stupidity and it shows that you're a little kid. Thank you.
If the announcement comes this year, the only place it will happen will be E3, of course.
Udidntlistenpunk, you didn't read, punk. They're not losing Conviction, it's a 360 exclusive. The guy just said that future SC's may be multiplatform again, as they always were. Conviction would've been multiplatform too, it's just that MS ponied up some cash for this one.
I was under the impression that Sony and PSN were perfect and that nothing ever goes wrong in their neck of the woods.
Yeah, I don't think it'll succeed if it relies only on third party software...unless of course there's something really unique about it that customers HAVE to have.
Is this the mystery platform that Sonic 4 will be on? I was hoping it would be the Dreamcast 2.
I'm surprised Google hasn't entered the console market by now. It'll probably be only a matter of time before they do.
A few random comments on some quotes:
"This conclusion can be drawn thanks to logic, which is a thing the Internet uses to make decisions based on ideas a thirteen-year-old had." -- See N4G.com.
"Metacritic. please remove this S**t reviewer from your site." -- Maybe you Sony guys should start another useless petition.
"Yesterday, the Destructoid tips line received an email from somebody called Tan with the subject, 'JIM STERLING,...
"Metacritic is a bigger failure because it's taken seriously"...wouldn't that make it a success?
Speaking of Metacritic, which game has a higher score on there??? Hmmmmmmmm... You guys crap all over Mass Effect because it's a 360 game and automatically praise Heavy Rain because it's a PS3 game.
Both games have great scores and are awesome. Why even compare them at all? They're not even similar in design except for the talking aspect.
Ken, on Metacritic, the 360 version of Mass Effect 2 got a higher rating than its PC counterpart. I would suggest getting the definitive version :-).
And if Splinter Cell is going to be the 360 GOTY, it has its work cut out for it after ME2 and with Reach coming later in the year, not to mention Alan Wake. All 4 of those games have a shot of being GOTY.
