In that case, PS4 was insane future proof with its GDDR5 architecture in 2013. And it reigns true with games that look like Horizon Zero Dawn that can still easily run at native 1080p locked 30fps on a standard PS4. Insomniac Games have confirmed that Spiderman will also be 1080p on standard PS4 and look how stunning it is.

You have to start using better words. Since Microsoft's E3 2017 conference, we all know now that "true 4K" does not mean the "native 4K" that you are implying it does.
So expect some "Nintendo abandons Indies" articles over the course of the next 2 weeks. Oh wait, those gaming journalists have no bizarre biased agenda against Nintendo. The same way I've never seen an article about Nintendo announcing games too early before either.
I know it sounds silly but it would be amazing if Nathan, Elena and Cassie showed up in The Last of Us Part II for a chapter or 2 before going their separate ways. It could be looked as an alternative timeline for what happened the characters and not be considered actual canon for them. That would be an epic reveal for PSX 2017.
Or how can they be holding back something when it wouldn't make a dint in the market if it launched for their console with current ZERO install base???
For example, if only 2% of the 50 million PS4 console users out there bought PSVR, how many people would that be of a million or 2 XboneX users had they released VR for it? It would be an install base of less than 40,000.

@Nyxus I agree, once March 2014 came, PS4 saw a new game resale on the system every single week thanks to indies. In fact from the launch of Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition on Xbone in early July, there wasn't a SINGLE game on Xbone until Destiny over 10 weeks later.

@EatCrow Actually that is not true. Gears 4 looks to the be the closest thing Xbone has ever got to a current gen game worthy of that title, the fact it even got close to hitting native 1080p 30fps in the campaign is equally impressive looking that nice.
But yeah, Forza 5 and 6, Recore, Quantum Break, even Halo 5....... all games that were very unimpressive looking this gen as the BIG Xbone "exclusives".
