Their engine was never optimised properly for the GDDR5 of PS4 so far this gen. Why would this suddenly change when a new GDDR5 console with currently 0% install base compared to PS4 comes along?
And for perspective, a brand new Mass Effect game, the first for this gen, a juggernaut of a series, only launched 5 months ago and is nowhere to be seen and good reason.
Like Erik said, nice attempt trying to downplay Crash sales, a game other haters randomly claimed wouldn't sell well because it was only releasing on one platform (for now anyway).

@krypt1983 Don't forget that PS Plus allowed your PS3 to update itself AND its games since 2010. People always conveniently forget that PSN and PS Plus also had game save cloud backup functionality before Xbox Live (you know, that subscription that was around since 2001).

Imagine all those decommissioned/delisted games you can't play anymore when they are taken down and your 24 hour online check (that was part of your "digital future") disables the game on you. I bet you would claim you would still be able to play it offline but how could you with the always online check?

That is the problem right there. It was a complete and utter disaster of communication. Every single higher up was saying something different everyday after the worse games console reveal in history. I would love a remaster upscale port of the 4 last gen "Future" series Ratchet and Clank games, what with the 10th Anniversary of Tools of Destruction being at the end of the year. Would be a nice announcement. :) They should get Mass Media Games or Idol Minds to do it that made the HD Collections of the PS2 Jak and Ratchet games last gen.
In other words, you hope that Cryengine has been catered to "take advantage of quick load times on the X" even though we have yet to see a single shred of Cryengine "take advantage" of the GDDR5 console ALREADY on the market this past 4 years.
But don't worry, X will change the current generation of gaming and development as we know it with its current ZERO install base.

Walking in RE6 and shooting was garbage and means nothing when your bullets in that game never looked like they were hitting enemies half the time.
