What are they going to do? Go back and build the entire game engine from the ground up? If not, there will be practically zero visual changes to what we have seen the past 3 years.
So is Crackdown 3 still on for more footage at Gamescom or has that been put on hold too?
So any brand new exclusive games to own an Xbone or XboneX for AFTER March 2018 is simply a bonus at this point? Its true, things well and truly are depressing on the Xbox front if THAT is all you expect for the near and distant future.
Isn't it the same with just about any game with characere deaths or K.Os? I think back to 20 years ago. Tekken 2 has some very funny voice recording with character K.O. sounds practically sounding like the person is orgasming.
And I'm not just talking about the strong female characters in the game either (yes games had strong female characters 2 decades ago, Overwatch didn't invent it). The male's K.O. sounds are just as hilarious. Even King's epic roar one lol. ...
It won't get a sequel if they can't get Hideki Kamiya. And if it isn't going to be made by him what is the point? We will just get something in the vein of another Devil May Cry sequel that comes nowhere close to the incredible original game.
@naruga And yet that is what Dragon Quest and Monster Hunter have been over the last 10 years i.e. 2 or 3 gen behind games that only released on portable consoles and they are 2 of the biggest selling franchises in the region.
Then people always try to say "console gaming is dead in Japan" when these 2 game series and their choice of platform was simply what "killed it".
@PhoenixUp Imagine if the portable Nintendo console version was the only ve...
Probably not anymore though. That was the case when details were still sparse for the console. Now the price and its capabilities are out there for everybody to see.
How many PS4 consoles have been sold in the last 2 months because of Crash Bandicoot alone do you reckon? How many PS4 consoles were even sold after the first GAMEPLAY trailer of Crash Bandicoot on PS4 at PSX last year in December along with a little thing called The Last of Us Part II?
Sony simply knows how to ...
@Bigpappy I agree with you about Xbone sales suffering since the announcement of Scorpio at E3 2016. But after E3 2017 that is not the case now. People were holding out until E3 to see if Scorpio would blow them away and the price would be great value at 399 at least, it didn't do either. Now that people know how much it is and the games that are coming to it and the next 6 months after, there is really no holding out needed anymore.
People who were on the fence would j...
Another great thing that happened because of PlayStation. Remember when you got NO cloud storage for your 10 years of Xbox Live Gold Subscription by the time 2011 came around lol?
Loving the art that was released a week ago that looks very like the angle of Drake on the cover of Uncharted 2. https://pbs.twimg.com/media...
It will probably take the game a day or 2 to get to me so hopefully I will have Platinumed Jak and Daxter before it arrives. :)
People are talking like it is EA that are making TLOU Part II lol. Then I would be worried.
Why?
They did a standalone, it was called Left Behind ^_^
Yes, exactly, the author clearly missed that part right after the reveal when Neil said at a panel exactly what you said.
The same can be said about lots of game series and their first sequel but not necessarily the 3rd game and beyond though. Gears 2, Uncharted 2, Syphon Filter 2, Tomb Raider 2, Crash Bandicoot 2, Jak 2, Onimusha 2, Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 2, lol scratch that last one and just leave the first game as the only one that needed to exist.
Jak 2 is still my FAVOURITE ND game of all time. ^_^
The author needs to watch this. https://www.youtube.com/wat... Its a panel by Naughty Dog that LITERALLY took place right after the TLOU Part II reveal which was the end of the PSX conference.
ND already gave their thoughts on how they think people feel about the ending of the first game and how they are going to do justice to it and its characters. I think I have to say this since the author never e...
I don't know, it IS summer, the time between the year's early huge hitters and then the late year's usual yearly big hitters. There is really no excuse.
And releasing it to ONLY PS4 console gamers who already have a great flow of titles this month alone wasn't a good idea either.
It doesn't help that I wouldn't touch this game with a barge pole regardless of all the titles I'm getting in the next 2 to 3 weeks.
@Tacobell323 It may even look decent now. If it can come even a tiny bit close to Infamous Second Son in animations and native resolution output on standard hardware, a game released 4 years before Crackdown 3's Spring 2018 date, it will be "better".
