Bit late for that. Fallout 4 was first revealed and then went gold 4 months later. They already failed that ultimately with their delay to next year let alone the announcement of the game at E3 2014.

Just to add, EXACTLY about what you said about Gears of War 4 having to do with anything. Wait until its out. Why are people getting so excited for a game NOT being made by the team that made it what it was last gen? Of course they are. Even after the dust settled after the worse games console reveal 3 years ago, EA are the one publisher who aren't hiding very well the fact they are still in support of Xbones original "vision".
The funny thing is, if Microsoft and EA announced a deal to keep FIFA and Madden completely exclusive to their console back then, they would have won this gen instantly, no matter how many hardcore gamers want to deny it.
