Because going into 2018, GDDR5 is next gen now lol. But it wasn't at the PS4 reveal in February 2013.
Ditch them? With the Scorpio E3 coming up in a few months time? No, get ready to see an even bigger aggressive move to this crap.
@butchertroll Except that isn't really the same difference between the Xbone and PS4. PS4 was always a generation ahead of Xbone with its GDDR5. Scorpio is the same architecture as standard PS4 now.
And this is shown even more by pretty much every stunning native 1080p exclusive PS4 game. Even games by lesser known studios like Supermassive Games and Until Dawn were technical marvels in their own way. Xbone gets disappointments like the basic looking Recore at 900p for ...
Hopefully now people can stop with their overdone "BEAST" talk.
E3 will be interesting. No not the actual console, I'm talking what games Microsoft is going to pay for exclusively as an excuse to talk up the Scorpio.
The Witcher 3 is the perfect example, the worse version of the game out of the 3 platforms but the glorious and perfect CD Projekt Red still sold out like any other sellout developer.
Yeah sure they have. So again I will say, 10 million Switch consoles confirmed sold in the first 3 weeks on sale like PS4, or more if this story is to be believed? In the words of Nintendo-or-Nothing "You will see" lol.
Definitely matches up with the donkey mass kids coming into the store in 2008 to 2011 asking "Have yous got GTA IVEEEEEE in stock?", literally pronounced as Eye Veeeeeeeee :)
The worst is when they send their parents in for it and you show the parent the game cover, then they realise that it is actually a roman numeral and their kid has made an idiot out of them. Then you get your own back on the kid by explaining the sex, drugs and violence in the game to their guardian. ...
Portable first but they forgot to make portable designed games for it first then? Sure why not, can't wait for the next Switch spin the fans come up with.
Yeah, its 2 weeks old. Nothing gets by you.
And don't forget the well received PSX 2016 Event that captured hearts and increased PS4 sales even more. In the space of about 1 month, Sony announces The Last of Us Part 2 (and MANY more games) and Microsoft cancel Scalebound. And that was during the Winter too which is supposed to be a slow time for game news.
Cool, hold off your purchases on Xbone if you were on the fence people. No need to buy one for the next 10 months.
Because Sony Bend (Uncharted Golden Abyss), Sony Japan (Gravity Rush) and Clap Hanz (Everybody's Golf) are all closed down and not making games anymore. Wait................. how is this like the Vita????
Article makes no sense (going by the title alone coz I'm not clicking it). All I have to say is, what changed in Jan 2017 that made you come to this conclusion now? Its been downhill since 2010 and Kinect.
Yet we still have to wait for a mobile game that can even come close to......................2007 39;s Uncharted Drake's Fortune lol.
This was my Summer in 2006. It didn't have 60hz support just like FFXII that came 9 months later but it at least had 16:9 widescreen support.
60hz support on older games is another reason why we PAL users go mental over remasters, we never even got to play the games in their original state most of the time like, again, FFXII.
So you want to go back to getting NOTHING for your yearly subscription, over expensive proprietary hard drives (180 quid for a 120gb hard drive when I could get a 500gb for my PS3 for 70 quid), locked down proprietary accessories that 90% of its fanbase needed such as the ridiculous 80 quid wireless adapter, region locked console, no bluray support and a console that scratches your games, primitive online system with massive bandwidth restrictions across the board like games/demos/dlc/patches...
Right, well then lets take the piss instead that this is a Gears of War game so this type of thing is perfectly normal then. The only thing I remember about Gears 2 for example is that the online wasn't finally working until March 2009 when title update 3 released.
Its a shame the Coalition took inspiration of Epic Games from the wrong areas.
It sold out everywhere, that's what happened. :)
Damn, they should have broken it into "parts" and then when they complete the first 6 levels only, announce that it is now going to be broken into "seasons". Then it will be a masterpiece like Hitman 2016 lol. And announce it 4 months before the game was supposed to launch, people will love you even more then apparently.
Look at it this way, if it was a single player only Ubisoft game, it WOULD have micro transactions, GUARANTEED. Look to any of their games to get an idea on what we are talking about here even in a game like Horizon Zero Dawn.
It shouldn't be too hard, its an Unreal Engine 3 game. The game even runs well on top PC hardware from 2007.
But no lets get excited instead for the Unreal Engine 4 Tekken 7 that was delayed to June because its coming to Switch too. :)
