That's what Sony and incredibly awesome technology with games like Eyepet is for (And you need to play Eyepet if you want a learning experience like you say). You should check that out rather than these gimmicky games that really don't do anything impressive at all.

It doing more damage then he thinks. I had to be told by a friend in March 2013 that Metal Gear V had a trailer at the 2012 VGAs because I didn't give a toss about that Moby Dick stuff and never even watched it. I ain't touching Ground Zeroes for that matter.

KINECT doesn't though and it doesn't work for gaming either as proven the last 4 years.

For the same reason they had to keep the "Better with Kinect" Purple banner of death off the box covers of Halo 4 and Gears Judgment for sheer fear of putting people off, they dared not release this game at launch on the console when they realised that hardcore fans were the only people left purchasing the Xbone.
And a good move it was too.

You are the biggest Insomniac Games fan, even though you more than likely have never purchased a game from them before?
