It was a "Next Gen" Star Wars game on Unreal Engine 3. Yep "next gen".
@Bigpappy Well guess you won't know as you can't tell how much space individual games take up, let alone how much space is left on your Xbone.
Yeah you are right, they should have made it on Cryengine or Unreal or Frostbyte.
What can a proprietary engine built from the ground up do? http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Oh..... exactly what the developer wants it to.
But are you not confused/worried why a 10 year old game engine has to be downscaled on a supposedly next gen console???
It simply cannot be ignored yet so many people are doing so.
Nothing about big massive robots running around not leaving a scratch whatsover on the map? Okay then.
Yeah heaven forbid we don't want people knowing that Gears could have supported mods like Unreal Tournament 3 on PC and PS3 or large player multiplayer modes. Microsoft wants to keep it good and restricted like Titanfall.
A release date for the region would be a good start Microsoft. Jeesh.
More hilarious than the Xbox One reveal?. That is hard to pull off. Oh wait the difference is the console reveal was supposed to actually be serious.
Now I know why Half Life 2 wasn't one of the greatest games of all time lol. Cloud AI.
Oh and its on the same game engine as Titanfall.
Brilliant thanks mate. Not clicking a stupid Youtube video for something explained so simple.
@MorePowerOfGreen Yes we have seen Metal Gear V running on Xbox One before, the console that didn't even show Ryse or Dead Rising running games on it until October 2013. Wake up and smell the coffee mate. We haven't seen Titanfall running on Xbox One yet in case you needed that explained too.
We heard most of them during the disastrous reveal on 21st May 2013. :)
@showtimefolks Because Pancit never said there was a new engine. He in fact said clearly Naughty Dog Engine 3.0, implying that it is the same engine as Uncharted 3 and not a new engine.
Don't forget to completely fuck up the boxart and destroy the franchise forever like most franchises that eventually make their way to 360, please see Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and now soon Metal Gear Solid for reference.
@dantesparda They aren't. That is a lie spread by fanboys. Forza 5 is also better than GT6 graphically and showcases the Xbox One because it does 1080p 60fps even though GT6 does too :P
Strange reaction from the same website back then http://www.nerdacy.com/2013...
Nope, I think the 10 year old game engine that runs on Windows 98 is.
You mean on that game engine that runs on PS3 and Xbox 360 since 2011? Yeah makes sense. Is it because PS2 era animations are next gen??? Or is it the 720p "sharp-looking" graphics that the article mentions that is a reason to look forward to games that will strain the limitations of Xbone even more? I always thought that is going to be a big problem going forward.
You Xbone people sure live in a strange world filled with false hope ignoring the cold facts since late 2012 wh...
5 ways it won't ever.
1 What is Steam?
2 What is Steam?
3 What is Steam?
4 What is Steam?
5 What is Steam?
Get it?
Maybe build an engine from the ground up to utilise this then and not use a standard third party game engine a lot of other lazy devs will have their games on in the next 2 years?
