Of course its never been just about the power. However, good hardware plus good software is a great thing too.

The hate for Konami, wow. They changed their business model and its proven successful. Sony did the same thing a few years ago resulting in over 10k people losing their jobs, dont see anyone here hating on them for that.
I see it still sold 9 million copies, only 1 million less than forecast. It appears that loot boxes and microtransactions are here to stay.
If the author has genuine reasons for marking it 6/10 then so be it. Doesn't always mean its clickbait. Hell, having people disagree can be the basis of a good discussion.

Um, Apple does not own SONY's music and movie catalog though do they. SONY made the decision to go digital with music and movies as it made financial sense.
Yeah, PS+ must be a real problem for you as well. Tellme, did you make the same noises when music and movies went the way that gaming now appears to be?
I've never played it, was never my style of game. However, I cant wait to watch my kids play through it again on PS4. It looks fantastic!

This is business. Music stores and video stores are gone. Gaming is next in line. This is not a Microsoft exclusive initiative.
How has it impacted the music and movie industries as this is exactly what happened to them.
If you hate on MS for this then you also have to hate on Sony. Try buying a music CD today and fewer places are selling blue ray. Heck, Sony even opted to not put 4k blue ray players in their PS4.
Sony's music and movie back catalog is huge yet the only way to access most of it is digitally nowadays.
Dont see many on here hating on Sony for going all out with digital only with their music and movie content...double standards.

The industry is moving there regardless if MS helps advance it or not. Music, movies and now games are all going the digital route. I for one prefer it even though I use to be a collector.
So GaaS is basically about locking your games behind a paywall. In a way, isn't this what PS+ has been since day one?
Wasn't trash and nothing wrong with asking the question but lets face it, I hope it will continue to tell developers that QTE games are a relic that best belong in the past or suited for budget games. RYSE is another example of this...
