The value in Playstation plus is undeniable I can't keep up with the excellent games available and have I have no problem at all paying into it.
The same is not true of xbl cross game chat and access to stuff like Netflix which is free everywhere else and should not be behind a paywall anyway is hardly value and it is difficult to justify it's cost,
Yes it will switch on your console for you I have a button on my controller that does the same thing, M$ is using the Kinect as a marketing tool monitoring your reactions to advertising then selling the data it's all about money with M$ one day people will wake up to it.

It does harken back to the PS2 a little. I do love the clean lines and lack of chrome accents. It is very minimalist and subdued.
I have to agree It is a true engineering masterpiece, meanwhile the xbone harkens back to the design of a 1990s dvd player and as a piece of engineering with it's external power brick and large uninspired design not to mention weaker specs it does leave a lot to be desired.
I'm not a great fan of FPS games never played cod or battlefield the only two i have played is Warhawk great fun and KZ2 great challenge which was watered down in KZ3 which was disapointing,
Finishing KZ2 in elite mode felt like you had actually achieved something, KZ3 was fun but too easy, so hoping this new game has more in common with KZ2 than KZ3
Oh I did play metal gear solid which was also great fun in its own way

Have to agree the first Motorstorm was a brilliant launch title I bought the next two but the first was by far my favourite.

christocolus, just want to point out why I disagreed with you, while I generally agree competition is a good thing my feelings are a company like M$ can do a lot more harm than good, a perfect example is the way they tried to force through their own agenda dismissing what the gaming community was saying until gamers called them out on their got their money grabbing plans.
I hope all gamers remember what M$ tried to do, competition is one thing but healthy competition is whats...

I havn't pre ordered but i'm a patient man, I have no Idea how many Sony will sell at launch but one things for sure they can't make them quick enough.
The PS4 is certainly the machine that most people want getting hold of one will be the problem.

The money that is made in royalties is huge, Blu ray becoming the standard is a financial goldmine for Sony.
The Blu ray license dosn't just cover the drive, every disk sold also makes money for Sony, thats a lot of disks and a lot of money.
More proof if needed that the PS4 is indeed the more powerful machine, surely even the most die hard Xbone fanboy can accept that.
Oh and it's a $100 cheaper too, PS4 is certainly looking the more sensible Console option this gen.

Microsoft will dominate in china sony fans just can't except it.
Maybe, maybe not, it's fair to say that the chinese dislike the Japanese the word hate wouldn't be too strong a word for some, but that doesn't mean they are stupid, the biggest reason for the Xbone to sell more will probably be more to do with the amount of pirated software that will become available for the system which is not a great way to dominate..
I think the point is that for running games Linux is a far better option, Windows has held gaming back for too long another option will have me seriously considering a gaming PC again.
LOL he does sound like he is prepared to swallow any PR that is put out about Forza instead of looking at it for what it is, I'm sure Forza will be fun to play as will Driveclub but there is no arguing that Driveclub is the most visually impressive from what I have seen.
WB27's love for the xbone unfortunately clouds his judgment and he comes across as more a fanboy than someone whose opinion anyone should take seriously.
To me this is typical M$ and highlights even more the difference in quality of the engineers building the two respective machines, one has built in power brick a smaller more elegant design and if you want to stand it on it's side no problem all while being the more powerful machine.

I didn't pre order either if it takes a while for it to become available I can wait, I see it as a good thing the PS4 will get a lot of support if it carries on selling the way it has started
one things for sure with all the nonsense M$ tries to pull the xbone will never be on my shopping list.

Couldnt' agree more this is about M$ selling data and little to do with gaming M$ just want to create another cash cow and hide it behind the pretence of it being a gaming device.
