I don't believe this article was approved, despite the reporter. It's still pending. Though, I have to admit, there's nothing too compelling about this article. "Pay attention to your girlfriend." It's common sense, and I'm not so sure this article really took the subject to new heights or in a unique direction.

Well, the fact of the matter is, the stockholders still aren't happy with Yang. But at the same time, Ichan gave up his proxy fight, so I'm not so sure about what'll happen to Yahoo. I suppose Microsoft could try to give it another go next year, and hope that with Ichan having three chairs on the board, and a bunch of unhappy stockholders adding pressure, he cooooould potentially cave in. I think it also depends on how well the Google partnership is going at the time.

They're going to make a big deal about anything related to gaming until it become generally accepted by parents and politicians. That's the fact of the matter, unfortunately. It happened to comic books, rock and roll, and hip-hop. It'll always be under the magnifying glass. But obviously, gaming isn't going to have the same effects as say cars or something.

But really well-written article. I like that it's different from typical gaming articles. It has a nice real-world spin.

Don't be turned off immediately by it though. It's a genuinely fun game if you're not looking for anything too serious. I have to admit, because it's so accessible and the characters, it's really easy to get into and become really competitive.

Actually, Ready 2 Rumble was Midway's game, not EA's. But Ready 2 Rumble was really fun nonetheless. I remember when my brother, father, and I would all go toe-to-toe with one another in the game. It was so much fun.

Thanks for the love. This article was pretty fun to write. I'm a relatively secular person, and although I consider myself Christian, I question a lot about religion. That said, I still find that games with religion are ten times more intriguing than the standard story line. Halo would have so little depth if it wasn't for the religious undertones. I also cited several other games that used religion in such an effective way, it skyrocketed the storytelling to grand heights. I think more devel...

Quite honestly, I believe artificial intelligence is the key to the evolution of gaming. Visual fidelity will bring us but so far. When graphics become "photo-realistic," what then? It just means that the games will look better. But what about next generation gameplay. Games that evolve merely visually will mean nothing, because there will be a certain point when that stops impressing. When friends and enemies actually begin to "learn" and effectively problem solve, is whe...

I'm sorry, but I have to agree with liquified. When I bought my HDTV last year, I wasn't sitting there telling myself: Wow, I can't wait to play Super Mario 2 all over again. I mean, everyone can have their own opinion, but I think it's a cop out to be honest. It's so easy to make 8-bit games compared to what can be done today, and I think it was just a way to make money without spending any.

Do something else. Do something innovative. Going back to 8-bit isn't it though. Not tha...

I know a lot of people use emulators, but quite honestly, what about the people who don't want to jump through hoops to play their old favorites? Emulators aren't exactly to get going as say an Xbox Live download. You have to download the emulator, then the games themselves, both of which you have to go on Google to hunt down.

I have to admit, I'm not much of a Guitar Hero/Rock Band person. But that doesn't mean it's not any fun when I play them. I actually prefer Rock Band a lot more than Guitar Hero for some reason. I only did the singing and bass though. I gotta say, I'm sick on the bass...on easy. Haha. Good article though, and it disclosed the full listing as well. Nice.

Oh my god if they announce Mass Effect 2 at this years E3 I'll splurge myself. lol. I don't know. I would be surprised if they release many details on the next game already. I don't think it'll even be ready for another year or two. Who knows, they may. But I'm personally keeping my eyes peeled for Fable 2. I've been watching the Inside Lionhead videos like they're episodes of Mad Men (favorite TV show). Fable 2's going to be awesome!

I strongly contest that one. I'm an iPhone owner, and I tell you now, I have never once, short of seeing LocoRoco, wanted a PSP. I would so much rather have my iPhone. I'm a strong proponent of convergence media and would so much rather have all of my devices combined into one. The thing is, you have to think about it from the standpoint of general consumer electronics, and not just gaming. Gaming is niche, whereas consumer electronics and its trends encompass gaming, and every other gizmo an...

Being as I'm from New York, it was intriguing to watch this whole thing unfold. But I admit, it really is ironic how all of this happened, and his whole thing with GTA. Freaking hypocrite. Good read.

I'm not personally big into rhythm games, but what Audiosurf can do should be lauded. I love the fact that you can use your own music. So, kudos to Dylan Fitterer. It's cool to know more behind the guy who made it. I'd like to see more of this.

Call me biased, but I really like this format. I think it's quick-hitting, informative, and respecting of the amount of time I have throughout my day to dedicate to listening to a podcast. The show moves quickly while still injecting valuable news an opinion.

Everyone should give it a listen. At a little over half an hour, with an anticipation to drop that even lower, there's nothing to lose. Check it out.

I'm not sure how I feel about Japanese RPGs anymore. I'm not saying Dragon Quest Swords is a bad game, but JRPGs just aren't cutting it for me anymore. A lot of the time, it's more of the same. And let's look at the facts; there have been a ton of Dragon Quests. What happened to originality. I've been leaning more and more towards western RPGs. Anyone have the same sentiments?

I don't know if I agree with you there ban fans. Burnout is a pretty established franchise at this point. It's at what? Five majaor releases already? And then you have the offshoots like Dominator and Legends. I think Burnout is most definitely a franchise at this point. Halo is a franchise and only has three games, why would Burnout be excluded from such treatment?

I'm going to have to go out on a limb and say that 2008 isn't going to be nearly as big as 2007. There were a hell of a lot of great titles that came out last year, and while none of these titles are necessarily bad, nothing's going to touch the collective powers of the games that we saw in 2007. Not to be a pessimist, but I don't expect 2008 to keep the 2007 sales figures (estimated $18 billion).

Good article nonetheless.
