Pc has the more powerful hardware when you compare high end machines. But the issue is most people don't have high end machines. When a developer creates a game for pc, they have to make sure they have someone to sell it to. The only way to do this is to make your game playable on lower spec hardware. So it doesn't matter if you have the best graphics card out if your playing the same game that can be played on a relatively weak pc. They unfortunately have to play it safe. But consol...

1. I trust Sony with my information as I have not had any problems. I have also purchased several games on PS3 and they carried over to my PS4 and Vita as well for free.
2. If you feel like you're getting $100+ more benefits from that controller then good for you. DS4 works for me nuff said.
3. Where are you taking your HDD to? Will it work without your console? I take my whole PS4 in my pocket with remote play on my v...

The Wii sold 20M more consoles but not as many games as the competition, due to the fact that it was a fad and not appealing to the core gamer. Everyone knows that the PS4 does appeal to the core gamer and will sell a shit ton of consoles AND games. Totally different situation.
Yes, of course. It's just bad business to make games for the fastest selling current gen console. The company is in trouble so they should lower support for their currently most successful product. It all makes sense now, I've seen the light. Make less games for PS4 and make less money. What company needs money anyway. /s
You didn't hear? Sony sold all of their studios and decided that making exclusives is a bad business move. Due to the bad health of the company, they feel the best thing to do is just don't make anything else. It's a much better business model, and will keep people coming back again and again. They also released some notes about the PS5. They say it will just be a cardboard box with PS5 on it for about 500. /s
While this article was written to help some people sleep at night. I'd like to inject another dose of reality into the mix. I think it's unfortunate for Sony as a whole, but it's great for us gamers that Playstation is Sony's main bread and butter.
All this means is the company is hungry, and as we all know, pressure either bursts pipes or makes diamonds. Think about it, what does this mean for Playstation? Sony will just invest more into their gaming busin...

While PCs can be much more powerful than consoles, PC devs don't have the luxury of developing directly for a specific piece of hardware. The games they develop must run on the median PC rig in the wild. The PS4 is more powerful than that median system. (If you don't believe me, pick a PC game and check your minimum system requirements.) This results in PS4 devs being able to produce things never seen before. Because no one has been able to code specific...
There is an optimization advantage but it's not really hardware or software, it's more financial. Let me explain. A PC dev could theoretically make a game so much graphic fidelity, that it would have to be severely downgraded to run on current consoles. I'm not just talking about framerate and resolution either. But major downgrades like textures, mapping, physics, and ai as well.
But in order to do tbis, the end user would need a GPU much faster than the PS4'...
The PC vs. console debate has been going on since pc and console games have existed. While the PC has the clear power advantage, console has the optimization advantage.
PC devs have to make their games with the "average system" in mind. This is the balance between a game that demands very little performance (the majority can run), and a game that demands very high performance (only a small percentage can run). For this reason, the majority of the excess power in hig...
In other news, Target has opened another store which may be the final nail in the coffin for Target because obviously giving your consumers other options and opportunities to purchase your goods and services is a bad thing smh.
The PsTv could, should, and probably will do all of those things in the future, but I don't think that's Sony's goal at the moment. I think that they mostly wanted to offer a lower price point into their video game business.
When I see PsTv I see myself as a kid getting my mom to rent games from blockbuster because we couldn't afford to buy $50 game as much as I'd like. Gamers and especially kids don't give a damn how they get to play that next cool ga...
Why the hell would you need to buy another DS4 to remote play your PS4? What are you playing your PS4 with now? telekinesis? Just take your current DS4 to the other room and use it with your PSTv or pay 300 more for a second PS4.
Just want to point something out to you.
1. PSTv is a device that caters to multiple consumers. You have people who want to extend their PS4 to another room/place, people that want to play PS Vita/PSP/PS1 games on their tv, people that want cheap access to PS Now, people that want to expand the media capabilities of their tv ala Netflix ect., and any combination of the above.
2. While the 4 hour time should be changed to at least a day, Now pricing is only ba...
When I was a kid, I was poor. My mom used to let me rent games sometimes just because we could not afford to buy them all the time. Point being there will be people that will benefit greatly from PS Now due to the ability to rent games at a low price not just for PS4 but on PS Vita, PSTV, PS3, and tvs.
@Pabbs_Slick
You CAN buy games, it's called the Playstation Store and you can also buy games at physical stores as well. Basically what you're asking for is unlimited access to their PS3 streaming hardware that they have to power and maintain, and a game for the cost of that one game. Not gonna happen. If you want to own PS3 games just buy them for your PS3. If you want to catch up on some games that you may have missed and don't own a PS3, PS Now is a great o...
Most people are just looking at the service from the wrong perspective. This service is meant to bring access to the PS library for those who otherwise wouldn't have it. If you have a PS3 and can find the games cheaper go for it, you're not the target. Ps now is an amazing service that allows something that was not possible before. It allows someone who does not own a PS3, to rent a PS3 AND a game remotely for a low price. A person that may have no other way to access that title.
$4 for 4 hours is f***Ing amazing when you don't have to own the console the game is on. Your $7 won't do squat for you without a $200 PS3 will it?
People don't understand. You are renting the PS3 hardware AND the game for that price. Where else can you do that? Why would anyone who owns a PS3 complain about the prices of PS Now? That's like someone who owns a perfectly working PS3 complaining about the prices of renting a PS3 at Rent A Center. Don't use the service and go buy or rent your games elsewhere. For those of us who don't or no longer own a PS3 it's a great service compared to buying a PS3 just to rent games...
@death
Alright at some point you have to come back to reality. Are you saying you would need to buy 2 games in order for psvr to match the rift bundle? BS The bundle comes with vr worlds that has 5 games in it, but let's just say that's 1 game, you also get playroom vr as well so that's 2 games right there.
As for comparing 499 ps vr to 599 rift bundle. That's not an even comparison. For 499 psvr players will be able to play motion controlled ...
