@CNIVEK: Yes, $200 for a subpar version of what everyone else is playing. Oh, and don't forget the $1000+ investment for a tv to make use of seeing it from your couch. And the required, proprietary accessories. If you want to bring up comparisons in the console versus PC discussion, cost is not an effective deal breaker for either side. Both methods of play come with their costs. PC costs are more transparent while console costs are more deluded that comes with the territory of proprieta...
Its cool that a new Bomberman (and a classic type one) is coming to WiiWare, but when is it coming out?
Yeah no Vista. In my mind most people complaining about Crysis problems typically mention Vista as a point break, so I generally assume XP is standard for Crysis gaming, since in my own experience, it seems to run much smoother.
Thats basically what I was getting at, that it is not ALL Crysis's fault. Post-Core though, Crytek really can't pass the buck.
I never claimed you were PC ignorant Fishy, nor did I infer it but if you wish to attack me in response, whatever, I don't need to have people prove their technical intelligence over the internets here. Take my results at face value, and ignore if you want to the question if you actually have a GTX 280. It was not a comment targeted at ignorance but at how some people seem to spew random crap out of their mouths 90% of the time here at N4G. You made it obvious that you aren't now, so I'll ta...
As much as I want to click on the disagree button, I can't argue with history.
I think if this is made, they could easily spin it, SS2 has gestated and even people who never played it have heard about its influence. Its half the reason Bioshock was so hyped (Successor to SS2 my balls, it was a heavily simplified version with admittedly a great story and graphics, but it lacked in gameplay severely).
I just hope that if they make it, it is not Bioshock in space, ...
I am sorry to say that you obviously either don't have a GTX 280 or something else is severely wrong with your rig, because I have the 260, which has notably less power, and I am running very smoothly in Crysis now dipping below 40 only when in the cutscenes at very high 1680x1050. I am averaging around 55-60 FPS on normal play through. Ignoring post-Core of course, where aparently the color white is a demanding issue in PC gaming...
I think you have more problems than just Cr...
@ Badz: You are thinking of the creature creator. Spore is actually of an entirely different genre than LBP. There are not only creator aspects of the "creatures" and lots of other aspects (tribal makeup, spaceships, etc etc), but the game is at its core an RPG with evolutionary development as its "novum" (for you Sci fi literaries out there). Its a much different thing.
Oh and Spore can create levels too. Its called a map editor.
Gotta agree with you here. It seems the use of the world exclusive is not only being abused by developers, but the gaming journalism crowd more and more recently.
Actions like this are made to make an individual's career/image/ego flourish, finding some controversy where you can. All it does for me is realize why people are so easy to filter into a totalitarian state for the sake of freedom from responsibility.
Honestly, I just want everyone to stop complaining in general. Let Blizzard work things out internally, let them craft something that could potentially be as memorable as, well, all of their titles have been so far.
If its not, well then Diablo III doesn't do as well. We as gamers have the advantage to look towards other titles that could topple the Diablo throne of hack and slash action RPGs.
Its all a big "if". Hell we don't even know how far out...
Exactly, all you need to worry about is game crushing slow downs and lower res.
Ignoring my cynicism, as long as you have fun, and aren't looking for the smoothest experience possible, then yes, you can go for the console versions. I would prefer to play it on M+K and have my resolution higher, but I am a PC gamer.
A lot of the "system requirements" drivel being thrown out there about PCs is utter trash. I am building a system for my girlfriend that...
Tell that to the various people I know who have Gears, Halo 3, etc etc for free. Any tech savvy person, ala a person who could pirate a PC game, can pirate an Xbox or PS3 game. Hell, you guys can even just buy one copy for 5 people easier than it is able to be done on a computer.
The best part about all these comments so far demonstrates the inability of people to understand the humor. The joke is not directed towards Fatal1ty, but rather the E for Everyone announcement of Fatal1ty being one of their main draws. A socially awkward pro gamer is their representative and is expected to sell tickets. Thats the bizarre humor, PA just took it in the opposite direction to show how PAX is more of a general public affair, and that their show won't need a pro gamer to "...
Expected, especially after the previous III series did so well on the PC. Although I skipped out on SA for the PC, will look forward to picking this up amidst the sea of expected greatness to come to the PC this August/September/October.
I am a little confused here.
So Nintendo delays some VC games and this guy explodes like they cancelled all future third party games ever?
Am I missing something? Its not like this is unique to, well, every gaming system ever.
The Witch Doctor is an extreme closeup of in game graphics, while the necro pics are from the prerendered artistic character selection screen of Diablo II. Thats why one looks a lot better than the other in that shot.
I am nostalgic for the Necro, but if they bring him back in a certain capacity in an expansion, that would be very cool. D2 didn't bring back any of the first ones characters in any way, since the gameplay mechanic was different. I am looking forward to new way...
They aren't in order, if you read the precursor, they say they aren't comparing the games on the list, but they are just putting them out there.
That potential marketing strategy just blew my mind.
Holy crap those manipulative bastards!
I do agree though, I doubt this technology is being integrated for the Wii, I still believe we will be seeing a Solid State thumb drive with some sort of connection (USB?, WiFi?) and proprietary system to make it Nintendo FP only. I also wouldn't be surprised if they additionally package it with a game utlizing it or with a bevvy of Wii points or something or other.
Yeah he copy pasted it... from Wiki.
Regardless, it gives an idea of what we are potentially seeing (though I doubt it compared to solid state storage) without having to follow a million links, but it would be nice to add quotes to show its not your own work.
I love how with only 9 comments going, this article with the words "boobs" in it is in the top three news.
Either way, I am very exited for this edition, as I started playing it right when they announced it, so I stopped and played some other stuff to wait for this version. Because of that, I think they will sell a decent amount of fresh copies too for those who waited on the retail one after hearing this.
