I love my 260, haven't even overclocked it yet, and I have Crysis runningly on max (no software AA and no Motion Blur) running swimmingly, no slowdowns.
If Blizzard was indeed making a Starcraft MMO, they will have officially broken my will to never play a monthly-subscription MMO.
If they made it more of a team-based, shooter twitch, vehicle included, MMO, I would need sustenance from an IV most likely.
Ten bucks Blizzard knows this is the case for many others, and its an easy bet for them to at least concept this idea.
Who the hell is Oasis?
I am not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but I personally think the only thing that will be "the next Half-Life, will be Half-Life 3, because Half-Life 2 was the "next" Half-Life.
Now, I haven't played KZ2, of course, but my peeve is not with the game, or its ascendant to the throne potential, but the lack of writing in this article. The writer never mentions once WHY Killzone 2 will be the next coming of Freeman. No examples, just random postulation he calls ...
@2.1
Agreed 100%, I think this year is going to be great for RTS fans. Maybe some sleeper hits will pop up too, like Sins of a Solar Empire last year.
I think DoWII and SC2 will be vastly different in execution, allowing a solid RTS experience in both without direct competition.
Yeah, though I love Windows 7 (I actually regret installing it on such a small partition), I tried IE8 for two days, then downloaded and installed Firefox 3. No problems on my front now :).
Calling BS on the BS. I have installed numerous programs, even big games like Crysis, with no discernible time difference compared to XP SP3.
I am a Vista hater, and confirmed Windows 7 lover. I will probably be picking it up when it retails (the Ultimate version, as we are Beta-ing right now, which is important to remember). I find myself able to multitask on it much faster than in XP Pro, which I have used for 7 years now.
Not going to make it my primary OS for now, because it is a BETA that will shut down, but I am trying all sorts of programs that I use normally on XP. I haven't had one crash yet.
I gotta semi-agree with you funky, I was a long time Guild Wars player since the first Betas, and I still log on once in a while to play around (I am one of the freaks who was a huge PvE fan). I had stopped playing consistently about midway through last year, as I am a gamer first, so I moved on to more games.
I am looking forward to GW2 though, and really hope they release some information. It's been almost TWO years now since they unveiled some concepts and plans in PC Gamer,...
Nah, they will do what they did for XP -> Vista, they will offer upgrades at a reduced price, and full product at full price.
I have to say though, they should definitely have only two versions of Windows 7 released, both with x64 and x86 formats in the box. Charge about 100 or so for a Vista -> Windows 7 upgrade, and standard new OS price for full IMHO.
Otherwise, I am looking forward to Windows 7, because other than an isolated GUI text issue I am having (...
Yeah, it's not up on the Windows 7 site nor on Technet (for non-subscribers that is). Servers either aren't up, or they are way too swamped.
I'm sorry, but Bioshock (my own gameplay negativism aside) had a great atmosphere and setting, but its storytelling was lacking. Along with a wholly horrible ending.
I would rather him see the inventive ways of something like the Half Life series to see a different way stories can be told within the context of FPS gaming.
Bioshock is a looooong way off in the storytelling department compared to movies or other media. So is most of gaming. But the exciting part...
That is exactly what I wanted to say, he should definitely try the Half Life games from first to last to see how certain developers have developed their style of storytelling.
Not trying to change your opinion of what you desire, but Half Life Source was a very modest makeover, really only adding some particle effects and making the water look better. This is a remake of the original, and the cinematic events are just for the trailer, its all from the perspective of Gordon Freeman like the original.
Yes that was very helpful, thank you very much. Bubbles :).
And yeah I knew how to do it in GH:WT, as it is fairly straightforward and it asks you when done downloading a song.
Good Old Games rules, I have been involved since the beta, and it is a sweet service. I wish them success so they can keep optimizing old games and bringing some cult favorites up for sale.
This is good news indeed. But educate me on something I know I should know. How do you transfer VC or WW titles to your SD card? I have never done it, and do you have to transfer them back to play them? Do the saves for that WW or VC game stay?
Dude I poopsock all the time, its only hard if you are a noob. Hardcore gamers poopsock.
Much better layout than before, though it still takes a minute or so to log in. If you have to log in to play your saves on that profile, I feel that it is a disservice to take so long to log in. Especially since the game itself boots in <20 seconds.
This submission easily wins the most misleading headline of the day.
